  1. Did you ever go to Tuba City? I am possibly thinking about doing an assignment out there, and I have no idea what to expect.
  2. Thank you, I know what I have to do. I have spoken with the DON, however my concerns have fallen on deaf ears. I am writing my resignation (again) Monday.
  3. I did allow myself to be pulled back into the department, with the understanding that certain needs were to be met. I should have went with my first mind and left as initially planned, I regret allowing myself to be weak.
  4. Sorry for the confusion, I put a two weeks notice in at my current employer, and then retracted the notice. I continued working at the same job for an additional 3 months, but now I want to send in my two weeks notice again for the same job.
  5. I search the forums and could not find any topics on this subject matter. Has anyone ever put a two weeks notice in twice within months apart of each other? I thought I was making the best choice for me by staying at my job, but it turns out I am still not fulfilling my goals and dreams of the type of nursing I once had before. I am almost afraid to put in my letter or resignation again, I am not sure what I should? I am contemplating speaking to my DON, and verbalizing my concerns and issues. Has anyone ever done this before?

Please say you're going to Gallup, NM?
  9. I am a former employee of UH RBC, in general I have never seen travel nurse there. However the nurses, docs and residence are all very welcoming and greatful to have help. The rotating shifts, and stressful enviroment is not ideal for most nurses, so Rainbow 4 finds themselves running through nurses. I would float to stepdown often, because they are always short nurses. I never had a problem, the nurses are there to help whenever needed. Hope this gives you some insight.
  10. When you travel housing depends on the company. Most supply housing furnished, unless you opt to take the housing stipend. I've even seen some come with everything even the kitchenware and linen. I've never been to Cali but I have travel nurse friends that did, working with an AMN company. you'll find tons of travelers there once you go, then you can link-up and possibly travel together. Good luck to you!

I looked at two apartment complex's that offer corporate housing. Casamera Apartments and I can't remember the other complex name. Casamera offers a few amenities, I think I could survive in a hotel without a kitchen for three month though.

I applied for Women's health, I haven't received a call from anyone yet.

I was just submitted for a job there, I've been trying to find travelers who have gone there, no luck. The recruiter I am in the works with did tell me it was one of the bigger cities in that specific area. I have had little luck on finding my own housing there. Hopefully someone will have better insight on this area, and even IHS.

Thank you for responding. I looked and spoke to many differnet agencies, its just I am limited to a select few, because I am currently an Outpatient nurse. It seems many agencies primarily work with inpatient nurses. I've tried going back to inpatient peds in my hometown, but not many jobs were posted.

Does anyone have any insight with this company? I'm trying to ge some information on tru staffing and AB staffing.
  17. I spoke with Advantage RN and RN Network the recruiters said I am okay to travel still because I have had at least one year of acute care within the last five years. Do you know how accurate this is? I know sometimes information can be misunderstood, and I don't want to be left out to dry.
  18. I am looking to travel out of state again.
  19. AB Staffing Solutions. This company works with IHS and Alaskan Medical facilities. I have never taken a contract with them, but I did speak with a recruiter about a possible assignment.
  20. I took the test almost 5 years ago, and the Pearson Vue Trick worked! I kept trying to register, but the computer stated something like "I had already registered and could not do so at the time". I also had Math, which I was warned, if I had math questions I was failing. 75 questions total the screen went blue, then black took a survey then flew home to register on the Pearson Vue website. I am sure you passed, Early Congrats!!!!!!
  21. Hi, I am an RN, who has previous travel history. I went back to my home state after a rough assignment. In that two years I never went back to acute care or inpatient care. I want to go back to traveling, the only problem I seem to be facing is no one wants a "Liability" since I have not been in the inpatient setting recently all the recruiters I have spoke with have politely declined me as a candidate. I have a background in PEDS, with my BCLS, and PALS certs. Does anyone know of any travel companies that staff government facilities? or Even school nurses. I am currently a Public Heath Nurse for a government health department, and have also done school nursing within the past 2 years. Thanks, Dana
  22. Me too!!! We made it, when do we register for the next class???
  23. I'm over writing already! Start of week three we have 2 discussion board question this time! Midway point we need to finish strong!
  24. Ok, I found a buddy! I just opened blackboard and I started to have heart palpitations lol! I am taking the same class and starting our assignment due Wednesday.
  25. When is your start date? If it is 11/3 I would definitely call them. If you start winter semester they may just started working on those students.
