Thanks for the heads up baglady. Are you familiar with Gallup from traveling thru there or did you do an assignment at the hospital there? I have had some experience working on reservations in the past but always like to get some information ahead of time so I know what to expect. Where is Earl's?

I really don't which type of housing would be better. Motels or apartments. Did they tell you what the monthly rates would be at the apartments?

I've been calling a lot of the motels in the area. Many don't have monthly rates but the one's that do range from approx 1200 to 3000 a month. The biggest problem seems to be that all motels are by the railroad which runs all night... something that you have to get used to if you are going to work in Gallup. I believe you can set up housing in apartments thru your agencies housing department. My friend did that but didn't like where she was staying at all. That's why I'm checking the local motels.

I was just submitted by my agency also. What specific area did you apply to? I worked with someone who went there. Said that the job was ok but the housing wasn't. Have they called you for an interview yet?

Has anyone worked at the Gallop Indian Hospital in New Mexico? How was the assignment and housing?
