  1. Hey, Here is something that may change your mind. I graduated in May of '07. I sat for the NCLEX 3 times and just passes on my 4th time..yes 4 times. I wanted to quit but I knew nursing is my calling. Don't get discouraged..try again..when you are ready to. If you force yourself to do it, you may not get a good outcome. I used Suzanne's plan and passed. At first I was hesitant but hey what did I have to lose that I haven't lost already?? My friend told me about it and she started the plan before me..and when she told me she passed I had a good feeling about it. I recommend her plan to you. It helped me answer questions smarter and faster. Practice makes perfect. Don't compare yourself to everyone else..it only makes you think more negative about yourself. You are not them. So again, whenever you're ready..hit the books again and finish what you started. Be surrounded by positive people and have positive thoughts, avoid the negative. Hope you change your mind Good luck
  2. Hey, How are you? It's not about studying harder..it's studying smarter. As long as you did questions reviewed your rationales and reviewed meds you should be fine. I think it's our anxiety that gets us. Trust me i know the feeling when you think you didn't do enough. Relax the day before..because cramming more information the day before make you go more crazy. Just have faith tell yourself you did your best and that's all you can do. Go in there with a positive attitude and think about what the question is asking you. Dont rush..take a break if you need to. Wish you the best of luck stay strong and positive!!! goinginsane24 (not anymore)
  3. Congratulations RN!!
  4. Congratulations congratulations...i'm in the same boat waiting to pass after few times and money spent...enjoy being an RN :yeah:
  5. congratulations!! its a good thing that u didn't take it when u weren't motivated to study. thats big part...u did it when u were ready and u survived..hats off 2 u. only u know yourself...u go and keep on going rn!!
  6. Wow...that's crazy...how long do u have to wait? I haven't heard anyone taking the jersey one yet..but it takes us 2 days on the computer. well until this "problem" gets solved i hope its worth the wait and u find out ur an RN!!! GOOD LUCK
  7. I'm sorry to hear u didn't pass...i'm taking it for the umpteenth time and i was recommended to take suzanne's plan..i've read those who passed with her plan...do not give up..we are all in this together
  8. I'm sorry to hear that you failed. Since I can relate and prob some others can too...just take some time to pull yourself together and then begin to study...u have to be mentally ready..it is nice to a set a goal but don't give yourself a time limit..since you tried the book and didn't finish it, this time actually go through each section..yes u need dedication and time to complete..i just finished after a month and process of emailing suzanne..i know it's hard not to beat yourself over it but take a deep breath pull yourself together and then start the studying process..you can do it we all can do it..we passed nursing school just have to go over this bump on our journey to become an RN...keep your head up
  9. Believe in yourself..you've done all you can do to prepare..try not to be 2 anxious..it's easier said than done. but just believe and take the exam don't let the exam take you...good luck Melinurse: nice reply..it is true that there are great nurses out there n it took them a couple times as well so we can't be 2 hard on ourselves but we are our own worst enemy and we need to learn that we only can do the best that we can JLnurse4 Life: what was the difference between this time and the other times u didn't pass? i took it a couple times and getting ready for the this time and hopefully the last time.. i just finished the saunders book the one suzanne recommended n about to start her plan
  10. congratulations! i can imagine how that 3 weeks of waiting was but it was worth the wait. thank you for your prayers for us future rn's too
  11. I wish u the best..it sounds like you did a great amount of preparation..all u have to do now is believe in yourself and be confident with your answers. wish you lots of luck n the day before relax and ease ur mind
  12. CONGRATULATIONS!! You brought a tear to my eye...there is hope and you proved it. i'm very happy to hear that you didn't quit no matter how many times and i think that's why people stop trying cuz they never know when their time will come..but your's did and that's *******' AWESOME! felicidades y tanti auguri (congratulations in italian and spanish) now do your thing and keep smiling and hope i meet u at the top of the mountain
  13. thank you sunnybunny...lvdreamer...and melinurse for your comments. one of you said it's not possible to take it in october if we start the program now..i started last week still feels like a lot to go for the first tip but guess just do it day by day...so hopefully sometime in november..but u guys are right that we have to be ready to take it :)
  14. Hi...i just joined myself. i understand where you are coming from especially when u said that ur family and friends keep asking you when you are taking it and you should take it as soon as possible...just tell them you'll take it when you are ready..that's what I been saying. It's frustrating already taking the exam and even more frustrating and pressure when people keep asking you about it..before taking it you really have to be confident (what I'm told and trying to be) prepare yourself the best you can (i'm trying as we speak). No one else can take this exam for you. Try to be around positive people, no negativity..don't give up no matter what...if u need a break take one..pull yourself together...i know it's easier said than done..but keep trying....u need to vent or ask for help i think this is where you can do it cuz most of us are in the same boat and we can support each other
