Thanks for the info, however, with my nursing degree, what is the best way to study for this. A class through AHIMA or self study? I have found that most jobs require 3-5 years experience before working remotely. How do you get a remote job without the experience?

I as well am tired of working in the hospital and am looking into medical transcription. What program did you take? Did they provide your name to various transcription services to secure a job. I know the pay will be less but it is a trade off. Any advice would be great.

How did you find a local insurance co. that was hiring when you got your first job? I have tried numerous ins co. that say they are hiring but don't get a response. Is there call time slow? My background is in obstetrics and would love to deal with that population in case mgmt. Any advice?
