  1. It is " Loving Care Agency", they do pediatric home care.
  2. Anyone working for them? I would like some insight into this company. How are they to work for? Pay? Flexibility? General feelings regarding doing homecare for them. Thanks.
  3. I want to say thank you to everyone for you insight and encouraging words. I have been so nervous about this change but feel that I will be happy in my new role. I start my job on 9/15/08 so keep me in your prayers for a smooth transition.
  4. My thought on this subject is that people need to mind their own business. The hospital allocates PTO, and has a no fault policy in place. There are not sick days per say but PTO. I do not have a problem with people calling in for whatever the reason may be because it is their PTO to use however they choose. I am not the one to tell them if they are sick enough or not to come to work, no matter what the sickness or reason may be. I have worked short due to people calling in and you know what I don't complain about it I do the best I can; the hospital needs to have resources in place to handle these situations.
  5. I am officially taking a job outside of the hospital setting and wondering how other nurses felt this change was for them. I taking a case manager job for an insurance company the pay is great, benefits are great! But I must say I am a little nervous about the change. What are your stories related to leaving bedside nursing.

Helllo! I am new to this forum and very excited to be chatting with fellow nurses!! I would like some advice....I have recently been offered a positon on a LDRP and I am very excited because this is what I want to do. I primarily am interested in L&D. My question is in a LDRP setting have others noticed whether the same people are assigned to typically the same areas or is it a fairly good mix? I am trying to decide whether this position will fit what I want to do, or if I should wait for a position at a hospital to open in L&D where the postpartum/nursery areas are separate. Any advice would be appreciated. InfanRN
