  1. i know exactly what you mean i feel like that right now ! my brother plays a roll in not studying, well i blame he for it ! lol hes on vaca and i have to study, so everyday he stay home and gets drunk and then i feel left out so i get drunk, lol and then well ...... !@#$ happens ... lol but it helps to remember that HE DOES NOT WANT TO B A NURSE ! thats his plan nursing IS MINE !!! just think of all those people who would kill for your seat in class ! i think what we are feeling is a natural reaction to studying find something to do to keep your mind occuppied on something other than nursing stuff i fix my car so theres that and just started working out to help take my mind of the books movies are good too music whatever has nothing to do with nursing for a while you might like shopping once a week just to refresh your senses. find something that works for you ! good luck never give never give in !:hdvwl: U CAN DO IT !
  2. ASK DJ Khaled to borrow some !
  3. dont forget to breathe !
  4. it depends on the program breakdown ! how is your program structured ? our program does teaches in trimester not semesters after our first "semester" or phase of the lpn program we can take the CNA boards ! so you might want to ask your instructors if you can work part time as a patient care tech or cna to start.
  5. Dude- DON'T ! STOP DROP and ROLL ! DOWN BOY ! say whatever you gotta say to keep yourself from walking down that path trust me ! we will have play time during recess trust me until then just get through what you gotta get through
  6. thank you for your thoughts yes nursing school does have its benefits i'm not complaning about that ! the girls all have so much personality ! being in nursing school and forming a routine, studying everyday, absorbing the info and putting into daily use thinking that people could get worse if we dont get it right! heavy lies the crown ! anyways good luck to all my fellow lpn students and thank you for your support
  7. ok so ive been in nursing school for 4 weeks now and am having a hard time believing im actually in nursing school (lpn). i have waited forever and a year to get in and now that i'm here i am still having trouble accepting that i'm a nursing student. im not ruling out some deep distrubed pschylogical issue buried deep within myself but i find myself having hard time coping with studying and getting myself out of this rut and for lack of a better term getting my ass in gear !i could understand if i felt uncomfortable being in a classroom full of girls but thankfully all of them seem to love having us around for balance and generally respect us ! 8 guys out of 28 ! obviously this period of disbelief last longer for some than others so could you guys and girls drop me some pointers on what you did to make yourself believe ?
  8. mpolo what about the units of measures ? what do you guys use for conversions ? do you use the same as the US ? that vaca sounds bad ass i always wanted to use nursing to travel a little and i love barbque
  9. N e 1 ever come to work in air force 1s ? all white ?
  10. i say we call until someone cracks ! and lets it slip whos' in or at least given somemone the cut off, so we know at what GPA they stop accepting applicants !
  11. i haven't started NS yet, i'm finishing my last two pre-recs, i'm trying to fight the good fight but it gets tough i work nights and with no manager to tell me to get back to work and loads of free time i can easily finish a half pack a night most times more. As if that wasn't bad enough i get all my smokes for FREE .
  12. hey southernash how are you doing so far? how much time do spend studying a day do you work what was first semester like how much did you spend on books and supplies etc seth pens sorry i;m going a little crazy but ive got tons of questions when you have a chance can i pick your brain?
  13. hey i just wanted to say good luck i'm also applied for the aug semester for this year. right new im just playing the waiting game until may it sucks but i have chem to keep me occupied i was considering getting some of the shots done and other stuff out of the way but im not 100 percent sure of what u will need once accepted do you know ?

  16. good restaint, you have to "man up " trust me ! my brothers and i use to fight bounces. big 200lb plus bastards and i'm a little guy 5'3 .so i know when those boys come callin u throw down not matter what, no matter who !!!!!!!! a mans pride is a mans' pride but what they don't tell is that ur a better man for not fighting ! that lesson is hard for all us knuckle heads to learn, it took me a while nonetheless good job you did what u needed to do , no shame in it, i would done the same ! now u can call urself a MAN, not a pansy !
  17. dude good question but i'm still trying to figure out now ! 10 years ? a BSN for sure as for the rest forget it .
  18. my bad i just noticed sorry it was late at night pretty funny thanks
  19. wus crackin i was curious, and me being me i tend to be somewhat clumpys not really walking in parked cars or closed doors to that degree all the time but tend to have things slip out of my hands once in a blue moon for no reason at all. i had to know if that, is a trait that might prevent me from being a good RN ! :idntdt:Thanks for your input !
  20. easy on the drugs fellas ! reminds me of my youth ! i actually remember reading an article, its fairly recent, last 6 months i think about napping on the job during breaks at night. google it. i work nights now just to get the pre-recs done, caffine helps try to sleep before the shift in a dark room and that eye patch to block the light. i've heard they work !
  21. dude if you really wanted to lay it n thick you should have done some cryin of your own but i see the point work is work period. all that chit-chat and patients get lost in the scuffle/ there plenty of time to play off the clock !
  22. just think about all the shopping you could do with everyone taking your size or all the appointments you could go to or the drive to work without traffic that what keeps me working nights i hate traffic
  23. good thing i was gettin kinda fragile myself just readin it
  24. wus crackin yall i just wanted to show so love to my fellow part-timers out there doing it big working 40hrs. a week and doing NS part-timer. i'm on the grind right now workin nights (check the time, i wish i had a life) not stuck at work)! tryin to push that GPA up i got micro with Fernadez right now (Remeber I of the Tiger from Rocky) tha song kicks ass ! but i got a question can you apply to generic RN program partime without all the pre recs done ? i saw on another post somebody got in missing a few ?
