Passed CPNE April 17 Queens, NY
I tested there April 1st. Only 3 of us passed out of 7. Great site though CA and CE's were exceptional.

Excelsior FCCA info?
You will not be able to access the final exam until the 8th week. You will not be able to register for CPNE until your grade is official. Good luck.

CPNE Advice!
I have not. I know how you feel. I am hoping for Nov-Feb. It's hard to keep focus sometimes when you don't have that date.

CPNE Advice!
Congratulations! I applied in May for CPNE. Once you are given access to the CPNE portal download the study guide. Start getting your required documents together to submit your application. There is some Facebook groups CPNE Rate your workshop and Let's Conquer the CPNE Beast Together. The discussion board on Excelsior's website is pretty good also. Good Luck!

Becoming a nurse is no longer an option for me?
I agree with ratlady. Join the military as a corpsman if you can. Do four years and get your GI Bill. You will get some independence and a chance to grow. You can probably work on pre-reqs while you are in and have Tuition Assistance pay for most of it. Good Luck.

CPNE study guide
I'm leaning that way as well. Have you checked the "CPNE Rate your workshop" on facebook? Also Sherri has a careplan plan book on Kindle "Care Plan Study Guide: How to Write Passing Care Plans for the CPNE". for 99 cents. It's pretty good in my opinion. She also has a condensed version of Study Guide. I downloaded it but haven't printed or looked at it yet.

CPNE study guide
I downloaded it to my computer and tablet. Always have it with me. I also have the audio CD in my car. Listen to everyday on the way to work.

Quit during orientation
I have been following since you started this topic OP. Are you so lazy that you can't spell out your words, use capitalization and punctuation? It's driving me nuts. I am relieved to hear you won't be beside long. With your attitude and apparent lack of a work ethic it would be a surprise if you lasted that long. Sorry to get off topic.

FCCA Practice Test
I used SG101 for all of my tests EXCEPT FCCA. I studied my Fundamentals book and reviewed the MODs prior to final. Good Luck!

Quit during orientation
You weren't hired to gain new skills. You were hired to do a job.

Looking for a faster better way to study for excelsior courses
I've been working on it for a couple years. I finished FCCA Feb last year just before I retired from the Navy. Took a break and applied for CPNE last month. It can be done a lot faster. I think average time is 18-24 months.

The College Network study guides worth it?
TCN is a publishing company.

Looking for a faster better way to study for excelsior courses
Each course has a content guide with recommended study materials. There are also practice exams. It's an added expense but I thought it was worth the money. I used Study Group 101 and was happy with results. I have finished all my course work and waiting for a CPNE date. Good luck. Message me if you have any other questions.

getting over my anxiety and nursing
Go back to school when you are ready. You might want to start with one or two classes before you jump into a full schedule. "can I still be a good nurse if I get my anxiety 100 percent under control.... " I can't answer that one. That's all on you. Good luck.

1st exam Schedule nervous
I used the practice exams for every test. It was worth the money. Reviewing all the rationales for the answers (even the incorrect ones) helped me. Good luck.

Rationales CPNE help!
Just applied for CPNE. The rationale would be specific for the care plan. Are they giving you anything more specific than "use something else"?

Are there any nurses that completed Excelsior from Louisiana?
Submitted my CPNE application last month.

Just starting out!
Hey, I just started also. I took Transitions first. I studied a couple hours a night for a month. I used SG101 and the Excelsior Practice tests and I got a B. SG101 is company that sells study guides for Excelsior Nursing exams and other tests. Home I was a little skeptical, but completely satisfied with the results. I plan on using SG101 and the Excelsior Practice exams for Health Safety. I am going to study 2 hours a night for a 2 weeks then take a practice exam and see where I stand. Sounds like you have a good plan. My only advice is to stick to it. Good Luck

Being a male nurse?
I used to be stationed in Lemoore. I did all of my prereqs at Westhills Lemoore. At the time they did not have a Nursing Program but they do now. COS in Visalia would be another option.
