how to bounce back after failing nclex:
I completely understand how you feel. I graduated recently in August. I took my NCLEX-RN NOV 24th and found out this week that I failed. It devastated me. I cried and have been in a semi-depressed mode since. My school knows and my family knows and it really hurts me to tell them I failed because it would make it a reality for me. I thought to myself, "why me?" and "how is it that every person in my graduating class that I've talked to have passed and I can't?" I'm really beat myself up for not passing! I channeled my anger into kickboxing and did some prayer for guidance and direction as I attempt to study AGAIN for this damn test! A good friend of mine told me this week that "a dream delayed does not mean denied." How do you bounce back after putting so much time and effort into NCLEX? I honestly don't know. Currently, I've been taking some time for myself and re-evaluating my situation and my study habits. For my first attempt, I studied for roughly 2 months, prayed A LOT, and I did the Saunders and the LaCharity books cover to cover, did 100-150 questions a day, and took a highly recommended review course in my area (not Kaplan)...and still failed! I don't know if I should try the Kaplan class or just buy the access for the question trainers? because its expensive and I'm not Donald Trump! Hopefully, I'll get some clairity and my answers to my prayers and figure out how to bounce back! It sucks going through the paperwork and paying all these fees to take this exam! We'll get through this Pepper! Best of luck to you and God Bless!

Welcome nclex november 2009 support group
I took my NCLEX on the 24th. I was sooo nervous, even the proctor could tell. I put the ear plugs on and I swear I could hear my heart beating so loud! I had questions on prioritizing, lots of infection control, a lot of sata questions on pt. education regarding medications, pediatrics/ob and lots of diet questions! I'm a little weak on peds/ob, so of course I got slammed with those questions! My computer shut off at 85 and I'm a little worried, because I left the testing center feeling numb...like i dunno if i passed or failed, i didn't want to talk or see anyone after taking the test. I talked to a few people and they think I passed...so from their lips to God's ears!!! I'm relieved its over but anxious to find out the results. I did the best I can, now its in His hands. I've been praying since then and til I get my results. Good luck and prayers to you all!!!

Hey REX3838, I'm taking my test in FL and I'm pretty anxious too...just been review content and doing questions everyday til I take my exam. I graduated in August. Some of my classmates have already taken NCLEX this month and have passed with 75 questions, with only two, so far, having 200 questions and passed. Sux about your school messing up with sending out info to your state BON but I hope you did well and passed! I'm pretty sure you did well if the computer shut down at 75 questions, but then again I haven't taken NCLEX yet...Praying for you and everyone taking NCLEX this month. Good luck to you :)

How Exactly Does One Gain Experience If No One Is Willing To Hire You?
My thoughts exactly! I graduated in August and I thought after graduation, I would get offered a position at a hospital or there would be so many positions available for graduate nurses, that we'd all have our pick for jobs. Unfortunately, in a bad economy, that was not the case. I applied everywhere, locally and out of state, and I've reached the point of saying yes to the first call back for a nursing position. Til then, just been studying for NCLEX. I sit for my NCLEX in November. Maybe after taking and passing the NCLEX my luck will change. You know, its funny that when I started nursing school a year ago, the hospital on campus was finishing construction on a new cardiac facility with the hopes of increasing jobs for medical professionals, even promising jobs for nurses graduating nursing school. One year later, and now there are no jobs available right now in that same facility for graduate nurses. It's very competitive out there and, sadly, it has become "who you know within the system" in order to get that opportunity and foot in the door. Good luck to everyone finding jobs!

What to write as a career object on resume?
I'm applying for a nurse tech position at the hospital I do my clinicals. The hospital requires a career objective statement for your application and resume and I'm having trouble on what to write for my resume...any advice? :)
