PLS HELP!!! Chickenpox and Measles Direct Contact and Droplet???
haha...please calm down... ^-^ AirBOrne: SARS, Measles (RuBeOla), chicken pox, anthrax, TB Rubella or German Measles -> droplet The mnemonic device is to use the big "O" that comes after "B". And if you're easily confuse with rubella vs rubeola, just remember that GERMAN MEASLES does not have an "O". Hope that helps! Cheers!

how to apply maslow hierarchy? Pls explain
Hi! aleena & tothepointe are both correct. If you look at the Maslow's pyramid, the two bottom parts points to physiological and top 3 portions points to psychosocial. Maslow's theory states that physiologic needs are the most basic human needs of all. Only after physiologic needs have been met can safety concerns be addressed. Only after safety concerns are met can concerns involving love & belonging be addressed, and so forth. To be more specific on tothepointe's comment regarding ABCs - Airway, Breathing, Circulation - to help you further prioritize using Maslow's. Check for a patent airway before addressing breathing. Check breathing before checking the health of the cardiovascular system. There is one caveat, there are instances where airway is not always the answer. Because sometimes it really is not a viable answer. So what to do? Always examine your choice in light of your knowledge and experience. Ask yourself, "Does this choice make sense for this client?" Allow yourself to eliminate choices - even ones that might normally take priority - if they don't make sense for a particular client's situation. Hope that helps! Cheers!

suitable position after tonsillectomy
Hi Erandi! According to NURSING PRACTICE by Margaret F. Alexander, on page 14: to help keep the airway clear by allowing blood and saliva to flow out of the mouth, the patient must be in post-tonsillectomy position (semi-prone). Hope that helps! Cheers!

nclex preparation
i really think it's a case by case basis. you just don't want to do 100 qs just for sake of completing 100. doing 50 with full consideration of the rationales is far superior than merely answering 200 qs. i thinks it's a great idea to just pace yourself. and gradually increase the amount as you get more in the groove. :-)

NCSBN or Suzanne's Plan??

-
Didn't pass NCLEX RN
hi! have you thought of using suzanne's tip?
-
hard work pays off!!!
congratulations! wow! but i am kind of curious by the how long it took for you to get your result - 6 weeks? anybody else had that long(er)?
-
What's suzanne's study plan
like what the lady said, you need 15 posts before you can pm her. i'm working on that 15 myself... :-)
-
265 and FAILED!!
pass or fail. we're still proud of you. the mere fact you stayed on course and you still have a positive attitude speaks volumes of your character. it took us a thousand tumbles before we could walk as kids. i'm positively sure that your next exam with you using suzanne's plan will make you run faster than you can walk! good luck!

Nclex Results:big Or Small Envelope
i think it's one of those rare occasions wherein you would like to have a smaller package... :-)
-
I failed with 265:(
i think what suzanne just said made a lot of sense. wait a while for your emotions to fizzle down to manageable level. just enough to motivate you and give you that laser focus to follow through with suzanne's plan. you may want to consider having a study partner(s) while doing her plan.

i got my results
i think having a group study would be a tremendous help while doing suzanne's plan
