I failed the nclex this pass july. This is the first time I heard about the NCSBN.:zzzzz I appreciate the resources that anybody has to offer. Thank u all.
  3. I failed my NCLEX the first time end of July. I am try to stay positive although is hard. I feel like I failed everyone, especially my family. It helps when u can speek to someone who experiences the same things. This threads is very encouraging and supportive. I appreciate all the responses and your experiences. I Know how hard it is to admit to failure. Keep your head and stay positive.
  4. I will be preparing to study for the NCLEX a second time. The postive aspect is that u know now what to expect. Which gives u an advantage for the next exam. Good luck.
  5. I think it will feel like more. What is important to know is the more question u answer the more comfortable u get with the format of the question.
  6. This list of comments are in fine print of a nurses job description. :chuckle love your post:yeah:
  7. It is a difficult but doable. only advice i can give is to take time to spend with the family, when possible. It will makes u feel like a normal, gives u a break and time to catch up with your family.
  8. I appreciate all the experiences everyone has shared in this thread. I failed my first NCLEX exam at 75 questions. I am trying to change they way I study for the next exam. I was working on my own and used several sources to study(Saunders, ATI and Kaplan book and cd that i borrowed from a friend). I think a review course is the way to go for the next exam. Also focusing on one review program instead of three.
  9. I have been an LPN for 15yrs, just graduated from nursing school in May'08. I had a very difficult time trying to support my and attend nursing school at the same time. I barely made graduation. I failed my first NCLEX end of July,08. I thought I was prepared to take the test. May have been my nerves and/or studing from too many sources in retrospect. The questions were similiar to what you have studied. I recommend working as little as possible if you have a choice. Although I have many yrs of experience as an LPN, the RN is on whole other level of care and management of a patient.:wink2:
  10. St Petersburg College, Pinellas County; and Hillsborough Community College, Tampa, FL have LPN to RN Bridge programs.
  11. I like the ATI and CD program if you need a quick over view in addition to the kaplan or saunders. If you need a simple explaination of a specific diseases you can either read it or watch the the CD versus reading through several books. It also focus on common diseases and gives addition information if the content to hard to understand.
  12. This is my second posting and it gets better and better as I read thru the forums. Love the enthusiasm:chuckle
  13. is the different areas of nursing. I worked in nursing homes, doctors offices, dialysis, ER, and now currently in an endoscopy.
