  1. Go to their website and email ray Gapuz. I think they have a review center in CA.
  2. Never tried the pearsonvue trick.
  3. I landed a job this week. 3 day 12 hr shift. There's night differential so pay is not bad at all! Good luck to all you guys who are still job hunting. Just keep passing your CV and try to get an interview. Make your CV impressive and follow up with HR to get an interview. It's different when nurse recruiter see you in person. Again, good luck!
  4. Good for you!
  5. Yes, that's the right attitude. Never give up!:)
  6. Thanks guys for the info. I'll keep you posted once I land a job.
  7. Where are you job hunting? What state if you don't mind me asking? I'm from North Jersey and if I can't find a job in NJ then I'll probably apply for a reciprocity and apply in NY.
  8. I recently passed nclex and waiting for the actual license in the mail. Do I have to be IV certified right away to increase my chances of landing a job? If so, do you know any hospital in North Jersey that offer the course and how much? Your input will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Right now I started applying around the area where I live. I am not in a hurry though bec my license is not with me yet. Since it's been two years I contacted all my friends and former classmates so they can help me find a job. I guess networking is the best! I'll let you guys know when I land on one. Thanks!:thankya:
  10. I got the book through my cousin. It worked for me. I guess it depends on how you study.
  11. I did not use NCLEX RN in a Flash by Ray Gapuz (available at Barnes and Nobles). I used Mosby's Elsevier The ABC of passing the NCLEX-RN EXAM by Ray Gapuz. You can only buy it in the Philippines. Sorry for the confusion.
  12. Just to clarify, I graduated from NJ so I didn't have to take the local board in the Philippines.
  13. What hospital is this? I'm from North Jersey. If they are hiring I will apply there.
  14. That is exactly what I have.
  15. Buy the Mosby Gapuz Book. ABC of Passing Nclex Exam. You can buy it from Barnes and Nobles. Read it for 1-2 wks then practice few questions (it worked for me) or depends on how many questions you want. Then rest for a day before taking the exam.
  16. Thank you guys!!!!:loveya::hrnsmlys:
  17. Just recently I passed the board exam and I'm happy to announce that finally I am BSN/RN!!!!It's been two years since I graduated from nursing school. I took it 8 times but I'm not ashamed of it. So for those who haven't passed yet, I am a living proof that there's a chance and while you're still alive there's hope, okay! Btw, I didn't answer much questions this time maybe like 300-400 questions in all. Instead I concentrated on content review. I bought ABC of Passing the Nclex exam by Gapuz. For those who are preparing for the boards...GOODLUCK! If I passed...the more you will!!!
  18. hi feliz3, i checked the strategies and it is very helpful. can you pls post the answers to all the sample questions just to confirm if i got them right? i would really appreciate it. thanks!
  19. Hi I'll be taking the test early morning like 8 am. Just wondering what kind/right food to eat prior to taking the exam. I'm 114 lbs and usually eat fried sunny side up egg with a piece of toast and decaf tea. I don't take vitamins and I try to exercise at least twice or thrice a week. I just want to prepare myself for this big day to condition myself and make sure that I have energy to answer all the questions given. Suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
  20. I'll be taking mine on Monday Feb. 2nd. Please send some postitive thoughts on my way. Pray for me and wish me luck and I'll do the same.
  21. I'll take mine on Feb 2nd. Trying to keep a positive mind and attitude. Let's support each other for the success and our future endeavour.:loveya:
  22. That makes sense. I hope that I would be able to answer this question when I sit for Nclex bec for me this is a really tricky question and honestly gloves vs mask, I'd choose gloves. Thanks for some enlightenment! Did you look it up somewhere or you just answered it yourself critically? Just the thought bec sometimes I feel that I don't think that way or I still need to improve my critical thinking skills. Thanks!
  23. I thought the answer was d. wearing gloves when giving direct care bec Hep A and E are transfered through fecal/oral and B, C, D and G are through blood transfusion, sex and so on. The correct answer was 2. Wear a mask when providing care BUT WHY???? It's not airborne.
  24. I encountered this question but not sure of the rationale. A nurse will take care of Hep A pt, what precaution should the nurse indicate essential? a. should the nurse wear a gown entering client's rm b. should the nurse wear mask when providing care c. should the client be assigned to a private rm c. should the nurse wear gloves when giving direct care I used my own words to rephrase the question. Thank you.
  25. congratulations!
