Collin College - LVN to ADN Spring 2025
I am going to apply for Collin LVN-RN Spring 2025. I am trying to decide if I want to retake the TEAS exam. I took it last minute for another program. I did better than I thought considering I only had a few days to study. This time I would at least have a couple of weeks to study. I am going to look at my points with what I have now.

Collin College LVN-RN Summer 2020
They could have at least sent out an email to those who applied, as a courtesy ?

Collin College LVN-RN Summer 2020
I literally want to cry because I want this more than anything. I have been trying to do this for a very, very long time. I wish they would just let everyone in, and let people become nurses. Lord knows we need all the nurses we can get right now.

Collin College LVN-RN Summer 2020
Hi, I also applied to the LVN-RN program. I also got the email to resend paperwork that possibly didn't get uploaded. I am so nervous. My heart is pounding as I type. I want in so so bad. I will be resending my stuff today. But I missed the Zoom sessions due to working. Do you think that would be held against me?

El Centro LVN Fall 2018
I am going into the LVN program because I got tired of being rejected for the ADN programs. I don't mind bridging to get to the ADN. My goal is my BSN. And I am not going to stop until I get there. At least this way I can work, and make more money than being the PCT that I am currently. Becoming a nurse has been a lifelong dream for me. And I am going to get there by any means necessary.

Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018
HESI--87.2 ( and I am not retaking) CT--11.4 I am just needing supporting courses: A/P 2, Pharmacolocy, Patho. I have Ethics and Microbiology. I am going to take A/P2 and another course in the Fall. I will take courses for points to apply later. I just need to see the Spring admission requirements (if there are changes from the Fall).

Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018
I had to go back and look at the email. I applied this time last year, for spring 2017, with 28.93 points. And those would be the same points this year, because I was not able to take additional classes. But I plan to this fall semester. I know that they won't count, but I will have the classes for when I can apply at Brookhaven, or somewhere else.

Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018
I often wondered why they accept fewer students in the spring? If the number of points to be considered competitive is 34, I don't think I will be applying for the Spring 2018 class.

Brookhaven Nursing applicants - Spring 2018
I am back to try again. I did not make the cut last year. I am a little afraid because I have not been able to take any additional classes. But I have to try. I know their maybe requirements changes. I am waiting to see the Spring 2018 requirements. I did not see them on the website. It still had Fall 2017 schedules and deadlines.

Brookhaven College Spring 2017
Did anyone notice that the interview and writing sample points are as follows: Nursing student applicants with the top 50 Step 1 scores for the Spring admission and the top 70 Step 1 scores for the Fall admission will be invited for an interview and to complete a professional writing sample. (negative 10 points to 10 points may be earned for the interview, negative 5 points and 5 points may be earned for the professional writing sample) The professional writing sample will be evaluated on composition, grammar, spelling, content and legibility. Or has it always been that way? I don't seem to remember being able to get points taken away.

Brookhaven College Spring 2017
Hi everyone, Add me to the list of future RN's applying to the BH 2017 class. I just went today, and took the CT exam. So many typos, and miss wordings :/ I did received 11.4 points (if I figured correctly :)). I am taking the HESI on Monday. I am a little nervous about it, but I am keeping the faith. I am locking my self in the house this weekend, where I am going to continue to study. I want to earn a high score, so that I can be competitive with the AWESOME scores being posted here. Extra Good Luck to everyone studying, testing, and completing their applications.

Brookhaven College Spring 2015 Applicants
I just received my Calculate with Confidence 5e. I got off Ebay for the cheap :) I am going to use this book to help me with the Drug Dosage Module. I read that the book "recommended" was not needed. And this one has gotten rave reviews on here. Plus, I need to take Pharmacology, so this will help. I plan to purchase the book that accompanies this one. It has a CD with it, which I like. I think it may be a workbook. How is everyone doing?

Brookhaven College Spring 2015 Applicants
I like the fact that there was no "expiration" date on the sciences. I won't admit hqow long I have been trying to become an RN. I will reveal after I am accepted into Brookhaven :) lol.

Brookhaven College Spring 2015 Applicants
I too am looking to apply to Brookhaven for the Spring 2015 nursing class. I see that there are some pre-reqs that I will need, because I did not need them when I got my Respiratory Therapy degree in 2004 (A&P II and Patho). I am going to schedule my HESI A2 test tomorrow, and find out if it is even possible to be able to start in Spring, based on that. I wish I would found out about this program earlier

Calling all OR and PACU nurses...I need your imput
I am a future nursing student (August '09), but also an Respiratory Therapist for the five years. I have worked in all medical areas of a hospital, including the Burn ICU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, ER, Peds, exposure to NICU. Not to mention med-surg and ortho floors. I also worked a travel RT for a short period of time. I know that I want to be an OR or possibly PACU nurse. Will my RT experience allow me to go into those areas as a new grad? The nursing program that I will be going through is a RT to RN program, that takes a year to complete. I have only worked in two hospitals, one being one of the BEST hospitals in the midwest. It is a teaching hospital. Both of the hospitals have level I trauma status. Should I get a part time or prn position as a tech in one of these areas to increase my knowledge or skills or... I will be eternally grateful :bowingpur for any advice or help.
