Please need answer about Navy Reserve Nurse Corps
Thanks for your response. It was the recruiter who advised me that I enlist first, get my citizenship and once that's done, they'll transfer me over to Nursing as an officer. Im not in it for the citizenship, I want to be a Nurse in Navy Reserves and multiple my current skill set by a hundred as the ad in AJN says :-)

Please need answer about Navy Reserve Nurse Corps
Hi, just curious if you joined, bc im in exact same situation you've described above. If you got enlisted and went to boot camp, have you gotten your citizenship? Thanks!

VNSNY: hiring, orientation process?
FraRN, congrats on the job offer! did you have any prior hosp experience? Thanks! p.s. I went to their open house & had an interview, but the recruiter told me they dont hire without 1 yr hosp experience =(

And... It begins!
Congrats! Trust me, before you know it, the semester will be over! (and nursing school itself too!) My advice is to make the most of your time at the hospital, be proactive and start looking for an internship/externship as soon as you can. This will help tremendously in your future job search! Good luck!!

Military Nursing Questions Answered
Hi! Im a licensed RN, finishing my BSN this May. Is having some clinical experience a must when joining navy reserves? Also, they say one has to be in good physical shape. How "good" you have to be? Im fit, but relatively strong..do I have to meet certain physical reqs (like 50 push-ups, etc)? Thank you in advance!

International nursing students in the US
@ Zaika Honestly, if you re graduating in 2013 , its too early to even bother)) for 2 years things can change a lot, just like your status... Anyways, Im still an F1 (but i do have ssn) and I graduated from BMCC last spring, then I applied for OPT and took and passed NCLEX. Since Spring '11 im working on my BSN, so dont worry even if things wont change until then you should be able to sit for NCLEX G luck with he program !!!- for me it wasn't the best experience, unfortunately..

need info about clinicals in CUNY
Hi! I go to a CUNY community college and there are no nursing classes and therefore clinicals in summer or winter. Also to get in a program you first need to finish all pre-reqs. Based on the grades u get, they decide whether they take u or not. Hope that helped =)
