  1. Something we say to the baby (who is generally having an A&B) "Step away from the light" we say that to them too. Come away from the light little one. The other day we got report that in between feeds little man was trying to buy the farm.
  2. That would make me insane.
  3. We have smart pumps, I'm told the pressure monitoring is a built in feature.
  4. I work at our local childrens hospital in NICU and PEDs. We are always concerned with developmental care as well as compassion. If you can't relate to kids you don't belong here. But without knowing the entire story I couldn't comment. Course it doesn't take much to offer a NUK or some sucrose to calm.
  5. Our MD are amazing. Respectful, fun, buy lunches for the staff. I am spoiled.
  6. My sons have actually been pts here often. Special Needs kids. Thats why I work here.
  7. I agree, I'm also a special needs parent and often I don't have what I need, but I'm flexible w/ formula sub for a short time. I took offense to that comment too.
  8. We quit using buretrols probably 4yrs ago. I love syringe pumps!!!
  9. I'm guessing it was medical history related. My recruiter asked about kids, types of deliveries, and complications also.
  10. I am a NICU RN who is interested in possibly joining the Army Nurse Corp (reserves). My hubby is not sure he wants me to. He waffles between support and not wanting me to. I have no idea what all the acronyms mean. I met w/ a recruiter but I'm waiting for the medical officer to call me now. So w'll see what happens.
