NCLEX PN stopped at 85
I was very relaxed before and during the exam. I started freaking out day after I took it because I kept doubting myself too much and started losing hope. btw, most of my friends who took their exam in January got the results in a week. It only took longer for the people who took it around the holidays.

West Coast University
west coast is expensive, but u will be done in 18 months. classes are 3 days a week. first 9 months are pre-reqs and the last 9 months are nursing core classes. I just got my LVN license and I'm thinking of going to west coast. I went to their info session, their passing rate is very high...i think it would be worth the money....i would rather pay the 60G and be done in 18 months than being on a waiting list for years.....u have to do what u think is best for you... Good Luck with whatever path u decide to take.

NCLEX PN stopped at 85
the number of questions dont matter. I also thought 85 was the magic number but that isn't true. I know some people who passed at 86, 87, 110, 205. So dont be worried about the number of questions, I didnt have any calculations either. I did have a lot of priortization, and infection control. About 8-9 meds and 4 SATA. I think you did great!! Try to distract yourself, i know "easier said than done", because i also went thru the same anxiety. You can't do much but wait for the results. I got mine in about 16 days. Good luck to you!!

West Coast University in CA( LVN-RN )
They are accredited. But u might want to think about going there if u want to go further for BSN. I heard only university of phoenix will accept the ADN from WCU. It might not be transferble to community colleges or UC schools.

West Coast University in CA( LVN-RN )
I've heard about this school and went to their info session too in Ontario. It is a good school, their passing rate is about 92-95%. 18 months long, and 3 days a week. You need to have your LVN license and GPA of 3.0 to be enrolled into their program. The only downside is the tution fee. Its about 67K, which I think is way tooooo high. First 9 months are pre-requisites and the last 9 months are RN classes. I am thinking of going there as I don't want to be on any waiting lists at any JC. I think it would be worth it in the end. Hope that helped!!

Philippines BSN SCHOOL TRANSFER
Hi, I've also heard about a school called Nightingale International in los angeles area (Graden Grove to be exact). They have LVN to BSN bridge program, and costs from 30K to 36K, 18-22 months long. You would have to travel to the Phillipines for a month for clinicals, but could also count LVN years of experience as clinical hours. I was looking into that program but I do have doubts also. I sorta know the people who are running that school but I'm not sure if that would still be a wise decision to make. I would say do your reseach before enrolling into any of these kind of schools. Good luck!!

Please help nclex pn 85 q's shut off
hey..i know how u feel...i took mine two days ago and also stopped at 85.. i left Pearson all happy thinking i passed as most people do say that 85 is good number to stop at. But as the day went by, i started getting anxious and now i am not sure how i did. i didnt find the exam as tough as i was expecting it to be and now i keep thinking the computer shut off soon as i might've not been doing so well. and just like u i feel semi confident and then second guessing myself at the same time. I am in california so i have to wait 3-4 weeks for the results. Lets hope we both pass, and keep praying!! I am trying to hold onto any faith i have left in myself

NCLEX PN stopped at 85
i only got about 9 medications and the ones i got didnt repeat themselves at all. there were couple of meds that i had never seen before. and i dont understand why we have to wait so long to get the results in California. They have no idea the kind of anxiety we go thru while waiting for the letter. i m trying my level best not to think about it but can't help it ....will keep everyone posted!! and thanks again for the support everyone...

NCLEX PN stopped at 85
hi everyone, i took my pn nclex couple of days ago. i stopped at 85, and took me under 90 minutes to finish it. i walked out of pearson thinking "85 is good number to stop at" , but now as the time goes by, i m getting more and more worried. i didn't find the exam challenging. i didnt think there was much critical thinking involved, i didnt get to use abcs or maslow's on any questions. i didnt get any med calculations, got 4-5 sata questions. got about 9 med questions. there was many infection control and priortization, and i got a variety of questions from many different topics. i felt as if i was getting easy, hard, hard and then again easy type of questions. and now i am starting to feel that i might've done really bad on the exam as i didnt get many satas or calculations. and the computer must've shut off before i even got to any hard questions. i have to wait 3-4 weeks for the results as i am in california but my anxiety level is getting out of control. has anybody felt this way about the exam? or am i just too stupid that the computer didnt even want to give me a chance? any suggestions ?? any advice to relieve this anxiety? thanx!!!!

Took Nclex 85 questions
i took my exam couple of days ago and also stopped at 85. i got a lot of infection control and priortization. No math at all, probabaly about 9 med questions and around 4-5 SATA. is that good? i was happy to stop at 85 as most people say "better chances of passing" but as the time passes by i m getting more and more worried. I am sick to my stomach right now, and its horrible waiting for the results, i have to wait atleast 4 weeks as i m in california. any suggestions to deal with this anxiety???

American Career College / Brymann / Concorde???
i went to ACC anaheim...i was in the wknd/evening program...i couldnt do full time bcuz of job reasons....i didnt have any problems at ACC..most of the teachers are very helpful and they prepare you well for the NCLEX. ACC is strict about dress code and policies...and you are required to have atleast 75% each term to proceed onto the next term....there's HESI exam at the end of each term , and i believe thats one of the reasons their NCLEX passing rate is high. I would recommend ACC over concorde...i know some people who transferred to ACC bcuz they werent happy at concorde...for me ACC was the best choice. i would suggest that you do wutever is right for you, dont listen to people complaining about schools....no matter what school u go to, u would have to study hard and stay focused....i used to study 2-3 hrs everynight and graduated with honors. Be prepared to do a lot of reading...its not an easy program...there were 70 people in class when we started....only 40 graduated...if you have any questions regarding the program or ever need any kind of help....feel free to PM or write bak.... Good luck....

NCLEX: is it that hard?
i m almost done with my 3rd term and i study about 2 to 3 hrs, 4 days a week now.....in the beginning, i was studying around 4 to 5 hrs, and it does get better as you move on with the course......and with that much studying, i have been able to manage 96% average throught all of my terms.....and if i can do it....then anybody could do it, trust me on this......i m not very brainy or smart, i m shocked at myself for doing so well. I just hve to remind myself everyday that "i want to be a Nurse and will finish wut i have started". Just stay focused and you will b fine......GOOD LUCK!!!!!

NCLEX: is it that hard?
i have heard from my instructors that the "passing score" has been raised up as of April 1st, but i haven't heard anything about the NCLEX getting any harder.....but hey, dont feel discouraged. keep thinking positive and continue studying hard everyone, and i m sure all of us will pass. DONT change ur career goals just bcuz u r scared of the NCLEX, nothing can hold you bak if you are dedicated to make your dreams and goals come true :nuke:
