  12. Who are you to judge? I barley graduated high school, was in special education classes, and have a learning disability. That was 1987, so many people judged me and didn't believe in me. Math made me cry, I was a bad speller...... In 2007 I decided to try nursing school (LPN) I was one if 40 people, we only graduated 14. I was valedictorian, and I'm a very good nurse. Thank you very much. I found Nursing to be my true calling, wish I had someone to encourage me when i was younger, it's never to late. I am now in an RN program, and holding a 4.0. I say be a true friend, and encourage your friend to follow there dreams.

  15. Are you looking for easy? If so nursing is not for you. Every nursing program is intense . LPN,ADN,BSN If you are on fence about which path. Talk to nurses in your area, talk to students in your area. I think BSN at least should be your goal. You just need to pick your path. Good luck

  19. I'm sorry for everyone's losses, my mom was sick during LPN school and passed 4 days after I passed my boards. It just feels different

  22. My 20 year old nephew passed away suddenly two weeks ago. They while family is devastated. My bother and sister in law are so distraught they I had to make all arguments and thank you and such. My husband and I have no children and consider my brothers children like our own. I am just so sad, and feel like why bother, I just need some encouragement from others. I have been a LPN since 2009, I just finished my first semester of a four semester RN program, I have a 4.0 as of now. I am now behind I feel, we had ATI fundamental practice tests to do as we'll as practice math, I never fall behind, now I have not touched ATI. I'm just looking for encouragement to continue on. I'm sorry if this is all over, I haven't slept much.
  23. I wear my lucky blue canvas converse high tops Every test. I also read my notes into a tape recorder, while Disney music is playing in background. Then when I sleep I listen to it, with monsters inc playing This works I was valedictorian in my Lon program, and keeping a 4.0 in RN program.
  24. I think your on a great path, I'm also on this path. You will gain great experience , that will help you with an RN program. You will find a job at a LTC, sub-acute rehab, Dr. Office. Good luck I've been a LPN since 2009, I graduate with my RN December 2014.
  25. I disagree, I became a LPN in 2009, I'm in a RN program now. I'm so happy I did it this way I have 2 very different nursing jobs, that I love
