I agree...I got started in this whole thing before knowing about the wait time. So foolish of me, can't afford to back out of it now-I'm in a payment plan with Chancelors. I'd love to redo it and go through a traditional school-the wait is rediculo...
Hey who of you Excelsior students are using Chancellor's study guides? I've taken 3 tests so far with Chancellor's and the only one I didn't do so hot on was Humanities but I hated that class. So far Micro and NC 1 have been A's! I so far have lov...
Remember NC 1 talks about mild anxiety...well that's the kind of anxiety that will help you to read all the questions and answers and do your best! Good luck and let us know how it goes!
The ENC: Chronicity is the same Chancellors guide for NC1...you just have to print the exam content guide to know which areas to focus on for the first test then study the rest of it for your ENC: Reproductive Health. My audio CD's don't work in my c...
Or if they don't need to go to the ER or they can wait until regular business hours but they argue and decide to go to the ER anyway...it's like uhm why did you call anyway? My absolute fav...what is their temperature? Well they feel really warm I'...
Hey do you have your study guide? I'm currently waiting for my application for admission to go through and want to start studying. If you can forward a copy of the study guide I'd really appreciate it!
I took NC 1 today and made an A! It's pretty easy if you have good critical thinking skills. Just think all the options through...but you should have taken your test yesterday...so...how'd it go?
We don't recommend treatment until over 100.4, of course many parents will still treat at 99, but it's not recommended. We give meds in office if they have a fever over 100.4 and are due for meds, so I personally disagree with not treating until 102...
Well we are in house/staff nurses that answer questions/concerns. We don't have a specific protocol-the barton schmitt is there to help guide us if we haven't a clue on what to say, but typically I'll just ask the doctor and call the parents back. ...
So I'll start by saying I work for a pediatric center-I'm in the after hours location and we triage for 4 practices. On a given weekend (16 hours of phone calls) we (meaning me and 1 other nurse that is there in the AM only both days) do approximate...
We have Barton Schmitt but most of the triagers don't use it. We do the standard, fluids, treat the temp, rest, appt with in 48hrs of onset to test and start tamiflu.
I'm with you on that...this weekend we had at least 25 pink eye calls. We had several months of v/d calls, now it's of course flu/strep/cough. My favorite...my baby has a high fever...okay what is it and how old is your baby...she's 12 and it's 99....
I am an LVN and do phone triage and walk in triage for our pediatric office. We are a subsidy of a big childrens hospital and a group of practices with in that subsidy. I do telephone triage for all 4 practices. I can tell you this...RN's are pref...
We've only had one case since I've been doing pedi triage that the doc almost called 911 on the parents. They eventually went to the ER but this was after several hours of possible seizures. We had one just last night that was advised to go to the E...
