  4. Hi Kabayan! I'm into visascreen process and I have MOH license that is expired. Unfortunately cgfns autopopulates in their record whatever license a candidate had previously included so now I am having a headache on how to proceed with regards to MOH verification. 6. Hi dee! I signed the contract with avant last sept 17 and up until now it isnt done under documents review/operation team or whatever and all my emails have a standard "automated reply" . I am getting disappointed as I was hoping I could get on with nclex review but given with how SLOW things are progressing I might be tempted to be on DIY NCLEX thru NMI.
  7. wow I could almost hug you right now XB9S .. thank you sooo much for the helpful insight. I also plan to read the website about NMC ethics, just in case. Yep! this is with the agency and for Royal Marsden post in surgery. I have my eyes all along to be hired in RM but I know i couldn't possibly breeze thru without preparation.
  8. Thank you for ur reply K+. pre and post op scenarios.. i can't really recall much of my MedSurg experience 8 years ago coz I have been an ED nurse for the past 7 years..
  9. Hi fellow ANs! Please help me out! I have an up coming UK interview this feb. I am humbly asking for your general inputs on possible surgical type question they might ask (especially address among UK nurses here in AN). I am generally bad on interview and mostly my nerves keep the better of me. To combat this weakness, I plan to prepare well. God bless y'all for your help, beautiful people!
  10. hi! I am also an Avant applicant, passed the interview and submitted my documents and currently awaiting for CGFNS duplicate copy of CES to complete my file (coz I lost my CES printed copy 3 years ago). 11. I applied CGFNS CP on Oct 2012 - took my IELTS Academic Dec 2012, then the exam on July 2013.. my CGFNS certificate was delivered to me on October 2013
  12. after I submitted all the required docus, it took a month for CGFNS to change my status to Authorized to test
  13. as per the above statement (# 1).. yeah, I believe you have to pay..I am HAAD passed also for 2 yrs and this message appears in my account as violation of number 3 clause.
  14. As per HAAD BPMweb there is new procedural changes: "1. All applications that are incomplete/ awaiting malpractice insurance/ awaiting payment to be paid that are not completed within 5 working days will be disapproved & closed and applicants will be required to reapply through Dataflow. 2. All applicants who fail to sit the first available exam or fail the first attempt will have their applications disapproved and they will be required to reapply through Dataflow. 3. All applications that are as save as draft for more than two weeks will be disapproved and closed and the applicant will be required to reapply through Dataflow. 4. Applicants who reapply need to indicate their previous application number in order to avoid any delays in processing their application."
  15. i used the Saunder's 5th edition book and also downloaded the Saunder's Mobile application for IOS..
  16. from what I previously posted here in AN - there is now unification of LICENSE for nurses in UAE (only one license for the entire EMirates) ,, they haven't posted though the new memo/circular for this so i suggest you guys should wait
  17. the content of the exam can be seen in the CGFNS web,, it is more like combination type and just like NCLEX you will have hot spot, SATA, delegation questions.. God Bless on your exam!
  18. for MOH license, i believe that as long as there is at least 1 year minimum work exp as a Staff Nurse you're fine,, doesn't matter where is the area (Er,MS,OPD,etc)
  19. Nothing 'bout the new set of rule is confirmed as of yet.. I'll let you know as soon as they post it Sent from my iPhone using allnurses
  20. they have tight sched/exam appointment nowadays especially now that UAE will unify the licenses for the entire emirates
  21. been trying to collect info about it..no luck
  22. Ahmm it was exactly from d date you took d test - u cn start counting 2weeks den.. Gudluck! :))
  23. what I do remember during those were the questions that I know but didn't remember and said at that time..
  24. You can relax buddy. During d time with which you are a nsg student you will encounter alot of more pressing issues on your way that you won't mind having a bad penmanship . Mind you - mine is no better on top of that it is minutely small they said they wanna use magnifying glass. But then i was able to be a Nurse and so far in God's grace i haven't encountered any issues with my handwriting. But i see to it that whenever i write documentation it is something that others can read too..
  25. couple of days ago I got called to attend a PRP small lec for the machine (centrifuge) op procedure -it went fine and so we started calling patients who has hair fall problem. One particular male patient (a student perhaps in Allied Health Sciences) asked me whether he can undergo the PRP treatment SAFE even if he is sex active. I got a long pause right there and don't know how to respond. I just steered the conversation to him making appointment to the doctor and ask about his queries. The thing is I haven't yet read anything about PRP for male-pattern baldness. I went searching BUT I haven't yet come across to any conclusive study or evidence that sex and or masturbation will be bad for male patient receiving PRP. I came to know though that MPB is something about high concentration of DHT,,and in PRP there is pure and rich concentration of DHT.. I know I can always ask the doctor about this, but I still prefer AN to help me firsthand so then maybe I can look less stupid later for asking it to the doc...
