  1. This thread cracks me up, amazing some of these designs exist. Worst I've seen are *denim* scrubs, and I thought those were goofy.
  2. ER admitting diagnosis: "SICK" Must have been a busy day.
  3. for the original poster, would you mind linking to some of these sample resumes? i am trying to figure out what to include on my resume as well. thanks!
  4. enfj, any recommendations? :)
  5. i agree with the yoga as well, i haven't been doing it lately but when i do make it to a class i leave so level-headed and calm, it's wonderful.
  6. i am still a student but i find that oftentimes i have trouble sleeping the night before clinicals. i have to get up very early on those days and i get scared i will sleep through my alarm or be late. i also get anxious because i really don't know what will happen the next day. but i have noticed that it never is really as bad as i worry it will be!
  7. oh geez, i thought maybe senior year would be a little easier than junior year if anything. i guess not?
  8. oh wow, you are a really engaged learner! that is impressive, good for you.
  9. what is your other bachelor's in? and are there other reasons you decided to pursue nursing? other positive aspects you enjoyed at any time during your schooling you can focus on? try to remember them if you can. this could just be a phase. but if you get to the point when you are sure you hate nursing, and it's a permanent feeling, well... you have to figure out what *is* going to bring you happiness and pursue it. what would you rather be doing? you are living your life, not your relatives. you can find employment better suited to you. i wouldn't want to rely on a husband entirely for income though, that doesn't seem smart to me. but that's personal opinion.
  10. we're almost there, folks! i am going to hang out with friends, watch TV and movies, sleeeeeep and shop. this semester has burned me out!
  11. Hey lilkaymin, I actually don't know what classes I will be taking next semester (not until NYU sends me more info about advising, registration, etc) but I will let you know when I do! And if the same books are being used I would love to buy them off you, haha. rumia66, I'm waiting for my financial aid package, have you gotten yours yet? The debt will be a headache, I hope the NYU reputation is worth it! Does anyone know whether the financial aid stuff will be sent to my mailing address or my home address?
  12. Hi, I just got admitted as a transfer student for the traditional BSN program! So I will be at NYU this spring finishing up prereqs before clinicals. This all seems very surreal! Anyone else hear back yet? I'd love to meet some other future (or current!) NYU nursing students!
