  1. I too turned in my notice Thansgiving night after a no win conversation with a DON who does not see the the danger of a new grad nurse she hired who after 2 months orientation is performing like someone who they picked off the street. I've made a choice what battles I will fight. I pray for the safety of the patients , the unit mgr even made the statement do not assign her anyone she can kill . This is sad . Hope it gets better for you .
  2. does anyone have any experience with Travel Max Agency?
  3. I did not have a job before I graduated Dec. 2008 , seemed to me places were somewhat slow to respond , but that could have just been me .I did get a job offer at Jewish in Louisville , KY but declined that one & took a job at St. Joseph in Lexington,Ky. The first day of my orientation on my way home I also got a call from Cumberland Hospital in Somerset , KY. The nurse mgr that called me about this job had just gotten my resume that I had sent in 9 days earlier. To bad the call came after I had already started it offered the Baylor Plan in ICU . I hope this helps you .
  4. JACKSONVILLE UNIVERSITY , INDIANA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY also have online RN-BSN programs
  5. We had ATI also , the scores we had to obtain varied for each test. The comprehensive test we had to have 95% and with each test we could only take it twice ,then you were out. They used these test as a predictor to how you would do on the NCLEX. I didn't see that anything from these test helped me pass the boards Jan. 14.
  6. At the school I just graduated from in Dec. has a "Graduate Employment Services " office that helped students write their resumes. The top of the resume in the center I typed my name address, phone # , email address. Then moved down a space to the left listed schools I had attened , then started with work experience and they had me to include what clinic experience I had , finished with any awards and skills I needed to list. You may find help from online sites or library. Best wishes

I 'm considering returning to school for RN. I've been a LPN for 10 years.I'm in my middle 50's,but I figure I will work at least another 10 years.I'm considering a college where I can complete all courses in one year but the cost is about $20,000. I'm considering this college due to fact that I will not have to spend a lot of time writing term papers and attend other classes that are just time fillers and I can be out in one year. Any input would be appreciated. THANKS
