Thanks for sharing everyone. I noticed when I moved to the South, they don't like advertising how much they pay. I dont' like that. I like to know how much before I even consider applying.

Hi, Thanks for the tip. I visited their (IWU) site and there are two courses that require a combined 98 hours of practicum. Do you know what that consists of? Ever known anyone to complete their program? Thanks so much, Robert

LPN program at Columbus State
Hi, I completed the LPN program at CSCC in 2006, and I thought it was a good program. It was stressful at times, but you will find that with any program. I enrolled in their LPN program because the RN programs at that time were wait listing people. I would recommend completing this program to you..if you haven't already enrolled. I am now completing an LPN to RN program, and I feel that CSCC's LPN program prepared me for the program. I wish you luck in your education. Robert

i live sw of wichita falls, and i find it irritating that i have to drive so far to take an exam. that's one reason why i want to make 100% that i am ready to drive and take the test. abilene is the closest location for me to take an exam! it takes an hour and a half to get there. i wish they would add a location in wichita falls! robert

Just Pass Nursing Concepts 4
Congratulations on completing all of your exams! I hope you don't have to wait for the Clinicals as long as my friend. She waited for 6 months! Looking back at the exams, which ones did you think were easier? :) Robert

Help With Nursing Concepts 5
I thought that the practice tests from NC1 and NC3 from Excelsior College were helpful, however, the practice test from NC4 didn't help me much. It was a good over view though! :)

Just Pass Nursing Concepts 4
Hey, I just took and passed NC 4 on Monday. I was wondering how everyone else is doing with Excelsior College. I would love to hear study tips for NC 5 also! I have started studying for it now. I was told that some students get more than 50% psych even though it's only suppose to be 50%. Is anyone enrolled at EC in North Texas? Take care everyone! Robert

An issue I have
I know that being a male nurse makes me a minority where I work because most of the nurses are female. I have to admit that I really don't care to hear about the who/what/where/how many times of their sex life though. I feel this is not professional. If they want to talk about it, it should be on their break in private not on the floor where patients can hear them. Some of them wonder why I don't talk much. I don't like to get involved in the drama of everyone's lives. I stick to myself and take great care of my patient's. Just getting this off my chest...lol Thanks for listening, Robert

Student blatently sexually harrassed me...
I would have went to the instructor as you did as well. Some gay men think just because you are gay you are up for anything with anyone! This is sad because some of us do have morals and values! I would have went to the program director if it continued. Robert

about being harassed as a male
Wow..what a role reversal of sexual harrassment! I am glad that you don't have to deal with that anymore. That is not professional!!

Online Science Courses
Hi, I have taken Intro to Psych, Psych-Growth and Development, American History 1 and 2, and The Microbial World through them. There are no proctored tests. The Microbial World (transfers to EC as Microbiology) does require you to go to campus just to pick up lab supplies. Maybe you could arrange for them to be shipped to you if you live far from there. All of the tests are on line for the above courses. I always emailed the instructor prior to signing up for the class to ask if on line visists were necessary! I hope this helps you. Robert
