New FNP Online Program - Bradley
Hello, I am currently enrolled at Bradley University (started Aug. 2016) and like the program. The 8 week classes are great, you just have to keep pace, which I often work a few weeks ahead of the due date of my assignments. The professors are reasonable in their assignment, the quality is pretty good, it all depends on the professors with writing papers, but expect to have to write one in at least one class. I think that they don't ask too much, but there is quite a bit of reading (but it is a Master's program, so this is to be expected). I would like the program to be shorter than 3 years, more like 2 years would be enough for me, but I can't complain (not even with the financial aid dept, which can be hit and miss at some schools). I think the hardest thing will be finding preceptors but it seems that a lot of FNP schools (especially online ones) have that problem. Overall, I'm glad I chose them and am going here. I hope that helps you out and maybe we will have a class together. Good luck!!!!

Bradley University
I am currently enrolled at Bradley University and like the program (started in Aug 2016). I find it easy to keep pace with the classes, which are usually 8 weeks long (I had one 15 week class - Assessment). My advice is to work as far ahead as you can, without loosing pace with the class. I will be starting clinicals in Jan 2018 and let me give you a little piece of advice, THERE IS NO PRECEPTOR LIST!!!! No matter what the recruiter says, THERE IS NO PRECEPTOR LIST!!!! You MUST do the leg work yourself and find your OWN preceptor (which can be challenging depending where you live), so start early. I hope this helps out some. If you have any questions, let me know. Wishing you good luck!!!!

Aya Healthcare/contract okay?
Hi BD-RN, I am new to travel nursing and am working with Aya Healthcare recruiter. Since their offer seems low (my offer is low too, according to one of my travel nursing friends), you might try checking with another travel agency or any travel nursing buddies that you know. I hope this helps you out. Good luck!!!

AYA Healthcare
Hi reggie076, I am talking to an Aya Healthcare Recruiter also and their pay seems a bit low. I am new to travel nursing, looking to take my first assigmnent this summer (July 2012), so I don't have much experience in this area, but those are my two cents. I am looking into another travel agency for comparison and talking with some of my travel nursing buddies for their thoughts on the matter. I hope this helps you out. Good Luck!!!

Relocating to Minot, ND
Hello, I am thinking of relocating to Minot, ND from South Carolina but would like some up-to-date information on the hospital (Trinity St. Joseph) working conditions, housing (apartment rental), local attitude (are the people friendly), or anything else you can think of. There is this company that is offering a huge sign-on bous with relocation assistance and I am checking them out. Let me know if you have any information that could be of assistance. Thanks.

Piedmont Medical Center Rock Hill SC
Hello Everybody, I was wondering if anyone could give me some updated information on Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. I have searched the nursing forums and saw some pretty "interesting" thoughts posted about the hospital, but they date back to 2004-2006. Surely within the past 4 years they still can't be that bad(can they)? Anyways can someone please give me some updated information on working for this hospital(e.g. nurse-to-patient ratio, work schedule, how were you treated as a nurse, etc)? I will be relocating there in August and would appreciate all the information I can get. Thanx. -k
