  1. Hi everyone! I'm about to start training as a legal nurse consultant. I'm planning on making it my own business. Do you think this would be helpful? I'm asking for opinions because with the cost of the LNC course, I can't really afford to fly right now. Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks everybody!
  3. I work in a large, well known facility. We have a hoyer lift, but we need to implement somethings to help reposition the pt in a bed or chair. It would also be helpful to have lift assistance for bed to bsc transfers as well. We have had a lot of back injuries lately. Does anyone have any recommendations for products tha may be helpful? Thanks
  4. I know this was posted about a year ago, but I hope you will respond. What are the blue sheets you mentioned? Are they disposable and do you think they are helpful? Thank you.
  5. My advisor told me each semester 1 class was all semester long and 1 was 8wks, but it doesn't sound like that's the case. What were you told?
  6. Those are the schools for consideration, but which schools were allowing students to retake tests etc? I'd like to avoid those type of schools.
  7. I meant, what schools are these?
  8. If you don't mind me asking, what programs are these?!
  9. Thanks so much for responding to my post. My recommenders and 1 of my transcripts didn't make it in time so I will not be starting in Jan. Please post again after you begin and let me know how you both like it! Thanks! What is the first class you'll be taking?
  10. I have been trying to decide how big a name I need on my degree as a DNP. I began applying at Bradley University, but now I'm concerned because they are unknown outside of IL. Where could I find further info on this topic? I've only heard of MUSC because they are in like the top 3 graduate nursing programs in US News and World Report.
  11. I'm desperate for some advice from my fellow professional nurses out there. I've found some complaints regarding Bradley University on this site. I was going to start the program next month but now I'm hesitant. The complaints are about Bradley outsourcing to other companies. Does anyone out there know anything about Bradley? Until now I've not found anything negative. I'm not crazy about marketing companies handling some aspects of the university. I'm in Maryland, so now I'm considering George Washington University, in DC. Their program starts in the fall.
  12. I really appreciate your post. Would you please explain more about your experiences with Bradley? I'm scheduled to start in Jan so it's not too late to back out if I need to. Thanks so much!
  13. I realize this was posted in August, but according to my advisor and familynursepractionerprograms.com, they are accredited. I will however look into this outsourcing.
  14. I presently work at Walter Reed as a RN, and I expect to start a BSN to DNP program in Jan. The majority of healthcare positions in federal facilities such as military treatment facilities, the VA, and NIH advertise positions on USA Jobs. 99% of the provider positions in my area are for NPs. In my personal experience as a patient I prefer NPs because of their holistic approach. They never lost their touch as a nurse.
  15. I am also applying with a January start date. Honestly, I'm a little intimidated.
