Can you tell me anything about Delaware?
I moved to de from ny a few years ago. And sista it aint the same!!!!!!!!!!! no hustle down here. If u have kids this is a good place to raise em. However, the pay is VERY different....U might slap yourself when u see your first pay check, but ny taxes and de's is different and so is the standard of living. crime rate...not too shabby. Well that also depends on where you live! In kent and sussex just use one lock...that should do. leave all your 27 door locks in ny! If u have kids they might be in shock for a few months...I moved here as a teen...almost lost my mind. But as an adult u might like it better. coming from ny u will have more room to grow and breathe...who knows u might have a garden. there is tax free shopping...especially at the beach!!!! hope this helps.....also I would suggest that you visit for a few days.
- Anyone ever taken clinical telecourse??

Moving to Delaware
AI dupont all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you'll love it there, as it is also a great place to learn. thinks are not too expensive in de, tax free state. however, the cost of homes seem to be steadily increasing as more people move in. other than that, nice place to raise a family. "welcome to delaware small wonder"..............hope u like the beach :)

New grad LPN moving to Dover
well it depends on your location in de, although it is not hard to commute, de is quite small. however, the gas prices might slap you :) ok try christiana hospital, bayhealth (kent and milford), beebe, nanticoke. that's all i can think of now. if u have a de license you can practice in md also.....they are compact states. so you can also get a job at union hospital, chester river, pennisula regional....etc. it's also best to check online. hope u find something!

Med surg experience
got it...thanks :)

Med surg experience
Most hospitals prefer for the nurses to have at least one year of med surg experience to get hired. My question is does working at an assisted living or nursing home count as med-surg experience?

Which unit is the best to work on at Columbia Presbyterian?
Hey iris, did you have experience prior to getting hired at NYP? I mean what do they require of ADNs? I believe Mount Sinai will hire ADNs if they are matriculating to a BSN program with graduation within one year. Did you merely apply straight out of nursing school and get hired? also thanks for your previous reply :)

Name the hospital and its Starting Salary!!!

ATI NCLEX Review?
Using the ATI was a little annoying. My college made it mandatory as part of our grades. The practice questions online never changed, so you had to take the same practice tests over and over again. We spent about a total of $400..that's about $100 every semester (it's like they forget nursing students are broke!!!). Frankly I didn't feel it was too helpful...I like Kaplan better.
