My first day was exciting....We had to go over the handbook, that took awhile..We then took pictures for our ID's and watched about 4 tapes....We were issued our books after lunch and they probably weight about 100 lbs., it was crazy..I would suggest a rolling suitcase, it came in handy. We went over each of the books and given our calendar for the year....We had a test today on information that we were given at orientation and our next test is Wednesday over 4 chapters....This day was everything I was hoping for and more.......

  18. The hospital in this book is Houston......You should read it, the book is GREAT.......
  19. I think all nursing students should have to read this, I start nursing school in December and I am so glad that I read this book first....
  20. I also think that every person wanting to be a nursing or entering nursing school should have to read this book, I thought that it was awsome...I makes you realize what kind of nurse that you do not want to be...My mother in law bought this book because my father in law was diagnosed with Guillane Brae, but he had great nurses in Tyler Texas...In Tylers nursing programs this book in mandatory reading.....
  21. I am going to attend a private Hospital based Nursing Program, and they do have financial aid..I would like to know if anyone knows where you can find student loans, grants or other financial aid services..
  22. I have not started school yet, but you should calm down, take a deep breath and think about what you need to study and what would help you learn the material. Some people or visual learners, so you can make flash cards or if you learn better by listening, tape yourself going over the chapters that you have to learn, so you can listen to them in your car or anywhere you have a tape recorder......I hope this helps and good luck....
  23. Good Luck:yeah:...let us know how things go.....
  24. Try and stay calm, and be honest....I was suprised with a little questionaire, but it was not hard.....Good luck next week...and remember to breath.....
  25. I am 45 years old and will retire in November and I am also waiting to see if I was accepted. I took the test in March, interviewed in June and I am sitting on pins and needles waiting to see if I was accepted. This is a passion of mine and I can't wait to see if my dream has finally come through. Good Luck in your future......
