Does your facility do this?
Well...if you clock out late because you've not finished your charting, at where I work..nope, no OT on that. That's why time management is important. However, if that charting is not done due to something like a Fall or other emergencies happened late on your shift and of cause you have to finish that charting, then yes, that is OT.

Secrets for preventing back problems?
Hi Misscherie, For all precautions I had done over the years...but still can't prevent back problem. Just had back surgery a few months ago. Don't know if there is any secret out there. While your back is still in a good shape, REALLY take good care of it. When it's gone...it's gone Max

Thank you AN
Thank you for being here. I may not do a whole lot of postings, but I do come here to read regularly. AN always here for me when I need more info while I was in school, or when I feel blue after a hard day at work. I always find something related to what I need to read to educate myself and/or to make me feel better. Thank you Brian for this wonderful site. Thank you all members for every post you contributed. And, Thank you for remembering my birthday :). Max

Pharmacology theory
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone out there can help. I'm an LPN student (2nd semester). I have a big problem learning my drugs (Pharmacology). I feel overwhelming with all the informations that I have to know. I have a long list of drug classifications that I have to know major action, indication, side effect, etc. On top of that, I need to be able to give examples of trade and generic name for each classification to my instructor. Any tip?? Thank you all in advance. Max

LPN course...with a family!?
user profile kipandnicole vbmenu_register("postmenu_2133780", true); registered user join date: mar 2007 posts: 2 country: canada hi there, i'm a mother of 2, a 5 yrs, and a 20 mths., i'm in my 2nd semester at the moment. it's not easy to balance my time for school and family, but so far it has been ok. i usually stay at school a couple hours after class to study. when i'm home, my time is totally for my family. i used to try to study at home, but the kids were just all over me, it's hard to concentrate. then i tried to study after they were in bed, but by then i wanted to go to bed too...lol. my classmates are all mixed with young and old(er) between 24-50+. having a study partner is important too. well, i hope this helps.
