  15. hi suzanne! what can you suggest to those people who are already case completed and only waiting for medical and interview? is it ok to try their luck to other countries while waiting? will it affect their ongoing contract to their employers in the u.s? thank you!
  16. hi! have you applied for their application form (form 1) if yes you have to count for at least 2-3 months before receiving their eligibility. re: att , base on my case, after i registered at pearson, i've waited for 3 days, still no att so i decided to call NYBON, then after few minutes I received my att. (My friend waited for at least a month or 2, then she decided to call NYBON, then she got her att.)
  17. Another thing is, some staff nurses at the hospital are also working as a part time clinical instructors to nursing schools, I can't blame them because of the low salaries we have but personally I can see some bad effects of it, like the total nursing care for the patient and their performance is really compromised. I can see some of them sleeping while on duty, and sometimes we take over. and I can't imagine the quality of their teaching if they are tired having their duty from the hospital.
  18. Hi! You can put your schools you had attended and any awards received, board rating, since you don't have any work experience you can put the hospitals you had trained when you were a student, seminars and character reference. I just want to advice that you should at least apply as a staff nurse first rather be a clinical instructor, I know the salary is better if your an instructor than a staff nurse but how can you teach nursing students if you don't have the sufficient experience. Thank you
  19. i can't move!!! gosh.. if it was me.. i might die at that moment... goosebumps everywhere..
  20. since we're all stuck in retrogression, why not share some extraordinary stories.. i'll start.. when I was still working in a hospital one of the nurses shared her story, she told us that her patient was due for a blood extraction early in the morning.. then the med tech goes to the pt. room for blood extraction but the pt. refused because it was already done and showed her arm.. and indeed somebody already took some extractions.. but.. the med tech said that it could not happen since she was the only one on duty that time.. and that gives us goosebumps.. until now no one knew who did that.. :uhoh21:
  21. for those of us who have already taken boards, please answer a few questions that might help ease the minds of those who are still waiting to test or for results. i know reading as much as possible about other people's experience helped me feel a little bit better while i waited. 1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75 in an hour 2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? saunders, kaplan, suzanne's plan 3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? n/a 4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? 2 days 5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed) total disbelief because i'm the first one who finished the exam and the guard asked me if i'm already done.. 6. was this your first attempt at nclex? 1st attempt and passed:balloons::balloons::balloons:
  22. also got 75 questions and thank God I passed!!
  23. congrats!! i also passed the nclex just now... congrats RN!!
  24. hello there! i'll be taking my nclex on Monday @9am too.. ohh.. i really understand how you feel.. just keep on praying and give it all to God. Goodluck to both of us!! :>
