NCLEX Test, 75 questions cut off
Everyone I know that has passed stopped at 85,including myself. BUT, the NCLEX does cut off at the minimum of 85 under two circumstances-either the test-taker has answered at least 95% of the questions correctly or 95% of the questions incorrectly...

How many times did you take the NCLEX before you passed?
ONCE!! Get yourself a good review book, and review a little ea. day. Usual focus of the test is patient teaching and prioritizing, but does depend on ea. person taking the test. LPN

Do you count resps every time you do vitals?
Honestly, there just isn't enough time in one shift to do everything strictly "by the book", especially in a nursing home setting where you have 30-40 patients at a time-not to mention that most are stable anyway. I voted for, "based on medication or diagnosis".

As LPN's age
That's so admirable. I'm 19 years old and just started as an LPN.And actually working "in the field" has made me realize how "green" I still am-it is so different from clinicals in school... Stand proud in being able to say I been nursing for 30+ years!!

LPN Tuition-how much did you pay?

LPN Starting Salary
I am happy to say that I am a brand new liscensed nurse.I recently was liscensed in October and started my first job @ a nursing home/assisted living center in December. The starting rate offered was of 18.00/hr base pay plus evening/night differential.Per diem @ 22.00/hr. I would advise not to go for less than 19.00/hr least 19.50/hr.
