  5. wow, do you work for Hurst ....THIS IS LIKE A COMMERCIAL .Thanks for the advice anyway
  6. ohh okay...I am also from NJ. I passed my RN on DEC 30th. I received my license but after the holiday but until now i cant see my name on the website. They told me that they update the website at the begining of the month. But in your case if your file is on "disciplinary", you will wait 4 to 6 weeks. Quick advice: I dont know how far you live from Newark, NJ ...I will advice you to go to their office and ask questions and you may know the reasons because their customer service on the phone cant sometime give you the right answer. JUST AN IDEA BECAUSE they lost my initial application and my money orders. They were give me wrong information on the phone and find out another story when i went to the office. Good luck!
  7. Hi, sorry about what happened to you. 2 questions for you: what State did u apply for? and next : Did you do anything in the past that may be reflected in your background check ? If yes, that may be the reason why you don't have your license yet EVEN you passed the nclex.
  8. God will not let you down. I believe in him and I know that you pass. God has a plan for everyone. Good luck!
  9. Congratulation! you passed the nclex. Say thanks to Jesus and start looking for a Job. Felicitation!!! (in French)
  10. The questions are different BUT remember that many people here talked about Infections control, endocrine ,lab ,pharmacology etc... are been in the questions lately. I took the test 3 times and all the time I had these topics. Less of ped amd maternity, many SATA. Good luck on your test. Go to the test like you are going to take it for the first time.
  11. They are easy when you know them and all depend of the previous questions/answers. This is a CAT test format. I had easy questions...like what PPE to remove first (...). If I didnt study, this question would be difficult but someone else this is a basic nursing question..All depend.Good luck! did you try the PVT?
  12. Congratulation ...your story is like mine. one advice I try to pass on those who failed the exam is to prepare it like It was the first time you are going to sit for.Corrected your weakness and boost your confidence. Bravo!!!
  13. Thanks for the time you took to answer me...
  14. Thanks you for the information. Is the phone system works when they have a license # for verification? I just want to try to figure out how it works. I had a job proposal and I don't want to wait a month and so...also I need a type of proof....My pearson vue result isnt official/legal for me to practice.
  15. Thanks you for this info. Can you apply for a job without a license # ? what can you tell your empployer about your license if they are willing to hire you.?
  16. Just a quick question. How long did it takes for you guys to see your name and license# on the NJ BON after passing the NCLEX RN. I passed mine last week and didnt see nothing yet. Thanks for your input.
  17. I agree with the previous posts. I failed the exam twice and suppose to take it for the third time on Nov 1 but i rescheduled more than 3 times and decide to take it last week. I was discouraged but 2 weeks before the exams, I changed my attitude: from negative to a positive one. I prayed and trust me I didnt do more than 600 questions. I had kaplan before but I focus on infections control, endocrine, med, delegation and some of my weaknesses and read all "the random facts throwing (4 days before the test). I had 75 questions, 1hrs 45 minutes and believe me I knew that I passed the test which I failed twice before. See your weaknesses, correct them and PUT in your mind that this is going to be my first try (not my third one) and I'm going to pass. Pray also. God really helps me. I didnt study enough to pass. God gaves me questions for stuffs I knew ( basis questions ). Thanks to Him. My main advice is to collect your self ( don't tell many people about the day you are going to take the test) and BE POSITIVE. First try has the highest passing rate, put yourself in. You will do fine.
  18. One of the point I would like to add is when you repeat the test , have a positive attitude. Go to the test like it was your first time. That what i did the third time I took the exam. After correcting my mistakes and weakness, two weeks before the exam, I had an attitude that I'm going to take the test for the FIRST time..remember the the rate of the first try is higher. So I want to be among those who have passed for the first time. Guess what I was calm, forgot the clock, did 75 questions in less than two hours. Psychologically I was well prepared but I didn't read everything in my review book. Positive attitude helps for those who repeat the test.
  19. All depend of the basis knowledge you have and how confortable or prepared are you from school/program. Sometimes you need to read the materials in order to know them and sometimes you don't find them in the CD. I had basis question on my nclex exam and I was in shock because I was about to fail that question. A good advice is read the rationale on CD and go back in the review book to add more information if you didnt know the answer. One of my friends told me to do the questions at the end of each chapter, if you had less than 60%...go back and review that section or chapter and repeat the questions. In this way you are sure that each section or content has been review. Good luck!!!
  20. There is a Thread about the "pearson vue trick". It has proven that when you get the pop up , you probably pass. I had the pop up and when I checked my result I Passed. The first time I failed, the system allowed me to pay for a new exam before I got the result, which is the sign that you have failed. you may find enough info about the trick on that thread.
  21. thanks god, jesus for helping me to pass the nclex/rn too on dec. 30. thanks guys for your prayers/advices and god is good. i had the pop up and this morning after 48 hrs, i just find out that i passed. i may see my name on bon website by next week. the power of the prayer: i had on my test 80% of questions or content i knew. my test was easy, very easy. god selected questions for stuffs i read or pratice on before. the prayer of joseph of cupertino works for me.(allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/taking-nclex-rn-427293-page6.html) believe me it works but you need to study...i failed 2 times before with the same prayer but it works on my third time. i did almost 2 hours with 75 questions. i was confident that i did well. advices: 1. know your infections control : you may find posts/thread related to infection control on this forum. 2. know your endocrine diseases: hyper,hypotheroi..,diabetes, dka etc... 3. practice questions and questions because everyone has different test. u never know. 4.i didnt have maternity, 1 or 2 ped, 5-6 sata, 1 drag and drop, 6-8 drugs, no calculation, etc. on my test. 5. for those who repeat the test, please don't give up; be positive and go to the test like it was your first time 6. i did saunder for the first time, kaplan for the second time and hurst for the third time. all help me to pass anyhow. 7. 3 days before the test , i read as review the "facts throwing" and " do you think you know it" threads from this website...they really help me a lot. i read many posts from this website and thanks everyone for you help and the support with have for one another. thanks god. you are great! what a good happy new year.
