  2. Awesome!!!:balloons: It's behind you now. On to the NCLEX! Please keep us posted.
  3. Just use the Excelsior Content guide paying close attention to conditions listed just before the suggested reading and items in parenthesis after required reading.
  4. I TOTALLY wish you all the best. I know we'll be hearing great things pretty soon from your experience. You're in my prayers.
  5. Great job!!! Congrats!!!:balloons:
  6. Congrats! Great job.:balloons:
  7. Thanks. Congrats to you for feeling ready to test. I personally did not use any publishing company resources. I went solely by the Excelsior content guide and I found it to be right in line with the exam. In addition, I highly recommend taking the Excelsior practice exams for NC1. They helped me to see what I needed to review. I wish you the best and let us know how it goes for you.
  8. You're welcome. I can't wait to hear about your success. Take care.
  9. Hey hondagirl, Thanks for the congrats. Congrats to you on feeling ready to take the exam. That obviously means you've been studying and you're ready to apply your knowledge. I highly suggest the practice tests if you have not already taken them. Thereafter, just think of what the question is asking you and apply what you know. I'll be saying a prayer for you. You can do it. Keep us posted. :)
  10. Alright! You're on your way. I'll say a special prayer for you.
  11. Thanks to everyone else also. Best wishes.
  12. Hey, Thanks. I just read everything, did the questions at the back of each chapter, and took the Excelsior practice tests. Best wishes to you.
  13. Hi cjandmama, I am not using any publishing companies to get through the program. The books vary in price. You can check around though for the best deals. As far as testing independent of Excelsior, they actually write the nursing concepts exams so you have to go through them for that. I understand that many students CLEP out of some of the prereqs and other courses you might be required to take. Definitely check with them on that. I have heard several people recommend enrolling at NC3 so that if it takes longer than a year from you initial enrollment date you don't have to pay an additional fee. I don't plan to take that long so I just went ahead and enrolled. Best wishes to you also. Keep us posted on how it's going for you.
  14. I am glad to say that I passed NC1 today with an A. Yeah!
  15. I absolutely will and thank you.
  16. I am thrilled to be an officially enrolled Excelsior nursing student. Thanks to EricEnferno and everyone else for all of your help so far on the boards and for responding to my pms. :typing
  17. I must agree with the other responders. Risk for infection is the common thread in the other 3 patient situations.
  18. Way to go! Great job. :balloons: :studyowl: :smiley_aa :wink2:
