RN to BSN online at UOP, on the fence! HELP!
Hi all. I am considering the UOP RN to BSN online program and would like some input on those who are or have attended the online program. I am finding it difficult to get into my local State school. I am on the fence with the great availability but the cost with UOP. ANY suggestions would be great! Thanks.

"if I could give you any advice" New RN wants advice!
So I start my first RN job tomorrow - yay! The few RNs I've chatted with recently have given me some great advice "start planning for retirement now - 20 years will go by fast and then you'll realize you have to keep working, because you didn't plan" "your back is everything so take care if it and get monthly massages" "good shoes will be your lifesaver" "take your breaks". My question goes to the experienced nurses who wished they would have done something differently in their career and/or new nurses who have received some excellent advice who would like to share - What is the best lifetime advice you would give a new RN? Thanks for your support and advice to start my career!

Hopefully 2 job offers, how to decide
So I have two second interviews in the next two weeks, at different hospitals both in the field I want to go in. If by some chance I get offered both of the jobs, what are some good factors to help me decide which one to choose? They are both the same distance from my house (2 hours), one is through a large organization the other a smaller community based hospital. Both managers are approachable and have encouraged educational growth. So if the first - second interview, offers I will say YES - BUT what if the second place also offers? Is it rude to start orientation at the first place and then leave? But, honestly I don't know which place is better to work for.

do you need to take NCLEX again if you don't work for 2 years
good question beba/rn! I'm in the same boat. If we kept up CEU's would we still need to take a refresher course?

New grad - tele interview - Thurs
I think it went well. It sounds so perfect for me and my interests, plus the director and staff were super nice! The hospital has great values too! I want it sooooo bad! I just need to keep good thoughts and know the right job will come my way. Now onto the cardio books!

New grad - tele interview - Thurs
So I read previous suggestions for new grad interviews for tele unit (CP=MONA, know meds, labs, rhythms, interventions for rhythms, strengths/weak, why cardiac) any other suggestions to prepare for interview? I am so nervous, I hope I didn't get in over my head!

New grad - tele interview - Thurs
I would love some suggestions. I just got a call back for an interview for Thursday for a telemetry unit. I would love some advice on how a telemetry interview goes? This will be my first interview out of school.

How do I get a job? 'RN who lacks experience'
I'm a new grad, got ACLS while I have applied to hundreds of RN positions at hospitals in northern CA. Almost all have come back saying 'you lack experience'. I'm not being picky where I'm applying either! I need some advice. I thought getting ACLS would help me get a job, but I guess I am wrong. No interviews and a lot of frustration - how can I get experience if you will not hire me! Thanks for any advice!

ACLS online or in class for CA?
So as a new nurse, waiting for a job/interview I was looking into ACLS and found some online programs. Do online programs qualify you with certification? Can anyone recommend an online program? Any good classes in Sacramento area? Thanks!

NCLEX-RN results on BON?
I took my NCLEX-RN last Friday and I am going nuts. I did the PVT and got a good pop up, but still don't believe it. Does anyone know how long CA takes to post results on BON site or do we get notified by mail first? My IP is still active is that another clue?

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
I took my NCLEX RN this morning in CA. I got the 'The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time', ugh!!! I just want to know either way. Stopping at 75 and having no idea how I did is horrible. Does anyone know how long CA takes to get results??
