Is there anybody knows which hospital can perform best in PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) in the Philippines and how much it cost. Thank you and much appreciated.

Im going to sit for the 3rd time again and still a a Nurse Tech . Most of my batch are RN already and im not. I isolate myself most of the time coz im so ashamed of myself , i dont want to talk to anybody because i dont want them to ask me. My husband relatives are most professional and same age with me and in the medical field as well. I feel im so dumb cry most of the time. My family is counting on me when it comes to financially overseas but more than 5000 savings in the bank now is 100 dollars left . I sacrifice my days so i can study yet when i took my test last March 20,2009 and it stop on 153 i failed again for the second time. When im reading this passage of yours ..i cried and you are right WE MUST HAVE MORE FAITH IN GOD in this Situation and this is only a TEST that need to MASTER. I extended my online review to kaplan and plan to take exam again and theres still hope....

I took the NCLEX last monday , Dec. 8 and i just got the result today unfortunately I failed. All the 3 months on self studying i did was frustrating. I gave up my job just to focus on this exam and use my savings to survive yet i still didnt make it. Hope any one can give me advice what is the best review book or center i can go.Is there any body knows a review book that more on infection control coz i got a bunch of that questions...pls God Bless....

PEG INFO.... My mom had her CVA 1 year ago and shes been in NGT for long time. Shes already bedridden and both side of her brain was affected thats why she cant even recognized us and do everthing for her. Of course she loose a lot of weight. My concern is....ive been away from my family for almost a year to work here in the states and only my family is the one doing full time taking care of her and i told them that i want to put her on PEG coz being in that NG will traumatized her esophagus and the doctor cannot alternate the tube everytime he changed because theres a resistance on the other side so only one side is the choice.I talked to the doctor since PEG is not common used eventhough its a choice in the Philippines its still depends on the decision of the family. Im the only one who agreed to put her on PEG. The rest of my family disagreed because its a n invasive procedure and the doctor explain the complication unlike in NGTand my mom was so skinny . hope i can enlightened my family. I need your advise guys...which one is the best in a situation like mine. NGT which doest have any incision procedure or the PEG . God Bless...

Im about to start my application already in TX BON since i have to take CGFNS for the CES ...ill just go withwhat your advice. Would you mind tell me what arr the steps youve did and hows the application to CA? which country you from? Hoping for the reply and thanks again.

you mean to say that i just rather apply here in texas since im here...but they ask a lot requirements and more expensive. What do you suggest im really confused.thank you so much you are not taking the CGFNS exam but need the credential report which is CES. Saying that if you go and move to a state and they require CGFNS exam because you are still classed as a foreign trained nurse then you have to do it. Just because you are already in the states makes no difference you will always be treated as a foreign trained nurse

You will need CES from CGFNS and then once your application for licensure has been assessed they will give you permission to sit the NCLEX. Most people I know that work at UMC left Covenant only for the Sign On bonus and they all said that they enjoyed there 2 years they spent there, but they ALL came back to Covenant. UMC is a teaching facility that some people have trouble adjusting to that type of environment. As far a Lubbock as a town, I loved living there. We moved when my husband graduated from law school. Lubbock is a super friendly town, and getting around is very easy. All numbered streets (82nd, 66th, 19th) run east/west, and then named street run north/south. And then THE Loop will take you around the whole town. Shopping is good for a town its size. Big mall, good grocery stores (United). Good luck in your decision!

Im from Philippines and i just migrated here in Texas and im gonna have my SSN# in one more month but since the BON here in Texas ask a lot of requirements i planned to take my NCLEX in CALIFORNIA BON. MY question is ....what is the first step to apply for NCLEX .Do i have to register to NCSBN first then wait how many months to apply for the BON in California.
