  1. I took NCLEX 6years ago. Didnt request CaBORN to forward my NCLEX result to any state before the 3-year period expired. Will CABORN still process it if I request it now? Willing to pay US$60 for the service, but I want to make sure that's it is still possible. If so, what state can I apply that allows license renewal even without SSN? No plan of pursuing my dream to work in US as an RN. I just need the USRN license to work locally. Thanks for the advice. @kimmymik and mauee, I believe we are on the same boat. So did CaBORN approve of your request even your file has been destroyed/abandoned, as they say?
  2. Is there any age requirements?
  3. I didnt bother to copy the posted requirements bec Im not qualified to apply (read: above 30yo). But what I remember, they require PTR, BLS, and your picture should be in blue background. Will try to ask my friend tom for the complete requirements and will post here. She copied them.
  4. take a jeep bound for quiapo from slmc...get off on the corner of g. araneta ave, just before puregold, and take a jeep going to quezon avenue (the jeep route is sta.mesa to quezon ave and vice versa). take any jeep from quezon ave, tell the driver that you will get off at capitol medical center. goodluck.
  5. Just went yesterday to Capitol Medical Center, QC. They accept applications as Staff Nurse, not more than 30yrs. old.
  6. i attended the said seminar in renaissance last sunday. from what i understand, au$7,000 includes qnc registration fee, cas review and exam fee and guaranteed employment by nts. it's more expensive than doing it on our own, but we are guaranteed of employment once we passed cas. although they failed to elaborate more on how the employment contract will be (duration, salary per hour, etc), i think we can ask the manila office more about this. i will be going there tom after attending the seminar of an australian consultancy which offers same. i want to compare what both are offering.
  7. Hi. Can you PM me what is the name of the agency? Thanks!
  8. Hi!:wink2: can you please paste the link about this. I enrolled for Computer science for my first sem in college then i shifted to nursing the following sem. Am i considered one of the "2nd courses/shiftees" you mentioned and no longer qualified to apply? thanks!
  9. Hi, good to be back in the forum...Anybody here whose PD is January 2007?...Have you already received a Notice of Approval? To what extent of processing are your papers now that we are in the 3rd quarter of the year? Appreciate your replies.
  10. latest available is june 12 @ 1445H..just check the sked as much as u can...every minute it changes.
  11. hi, suzanne!...i just want to know how can I ask CA to forward my NCLEX passing score to CNMI. I already applied for a license for examination in CNMI and my documents were already reviewed. I visited Cali-BON website, but cant find any info about it. I sent them an email asking what are the procedures and fees that I have to pay for them to do such, but no reply. I would appreciate it very much if you could give me some info. Thanx!
  12. Hi dzzy21RN!...all eligibilities are valid for 1 year...it means that you have 1 year to sked and sit for the exam...on the other hand, ATT validity depends on the BON that you applied licensure for...some gives applicants only 3months to sit for the exam...others, 6mos or even 1 year (like California BON)...so, in short, both eligibility and ATT for California has 1 year validity... Yes, you can defer registering with PearsonVue even after you receive the eligibility from Cali BON...but you have to register with them before your eligibility expires or else, you have to reapply (another $107)...once you have enough funds to sustain you for the whole process, that is, pearson reg. fee of $200, (+ $150 if HK test site), travel pkg (HK costs roughly $350 while Saipan pkg costs $650), pocketmoney AND you are almost prepared to take the exam, i suggest do register....even after registering and receipt of your ATT, you have another 1 year to sit for the exam...
  13. hi, nxt777!...i bought mine in nbs-jaka plaza, sucat, pque...i asked my frnds and they got theirs from nbs-sm valenzuela, nbs-glorietta, nbs-grand central monumento...they called first the branch...i suggest you do same...
  14. hi!...once you registered with PearsonVue, that is paid the US$200 fee, your ATT will be sent via email (if you provide them one)...or else, you have to wait weeks before you receive it via snail mail...even Cali-BON ATT is valid for 1 year, i suggest that do register with pearson now...the latest available sked for HK is May 13,19,21,22,26,28 and 30 (as of 12nn today, MNL time)...you still have 3 months if you study full-time...then, you can always resked it if you feel that you need more time...but, dont wait until the ATT expiry to resked the exam...you never know what will come up (like typhoon)...
  15. dont be scared. if you studied very well like you said, you have gained knowledge more than you know. i definitely advise you to sit for the exam next week. but if you want a finale reviewer, you can buy nclex-rn exam cram book 1,250 practice questions. costs php250 with cd in national bookstore. i suggest reading the book cover-to-cover and not use the cd at all bec it is not user-friendly. if you will take exam in saipan, you can bring it and finish it before your exam date. anyway, you still have 5days to go. you can finish it before then. im recommending it based on experience. im a first-time taker and my pc stopped at 75. without it, im sure i could have finished all 265 and not sure if i passed or failed. hope this info helps you. gudluck!
  16. Hi!..I recommend NCLEX-RN EXAM CRAM 1,250 Practice Questions...you can buy it from National Bookstore...only PhP250 with CD...I recommend using it as your finale review material..dont start with it as your initial reviewer since it is practice questions...Read the book, dont use the CD...the CD is not user-friendly...but the book is SUPERB!...I finished reading it in Saipan while waiting for my exam date...Guess what?...I passed with just 75questions!...I know, without this book, I could have finished 265 questions and be unsure if I passed or failed...Im recommending it based on my experience.
  17. hi to all!...my CGFNS Certificate got lost in the mail...i informed my agency and they made a followup with CGFNS for it...now, CGFNS sent a 2nd copy to my agency's office in USA...can I ask my agency to send the original copy to me here in manila since I paid for the exam?...or just let it be with them for the meantime while processing my papers?
  18. Received notice today of passing the NCLEX!...Thank God!...really, the NCLEX-RN EXAM CRAM Book helped me a lot!
  19. Hi, I took California NCLEX in Saipan Dec 12, 2006 and till now Im anxiously waiting for the result. It's been a month and 4days. I just wish that it wont get lost in the mail just like what happened with my CGFNS Certif.
  20. as we all know, even those examinees that did not participated in the june nle leakage were affected by it...vanniella_skye's concern is that the december nle testtakers might suffer the consequences of the recent leakage, just as what happened to the other "clean" june examinees...it is but normal for her to be concerned... just an unsolicited advice, i suggest you reply to our co-members' queries in a polite manner...even our moderators' dont "speak" that way...
  21. hey!...we have someone here who's impolite!...:angryfire i think you should read the other threads here, angelcharm, before firing!..as freeandsingle said, it has been discussed here many times...bon is board of nursing, and all us states and territories have their own board of nursing. based on my experience, saipan board of nursing accepts applicants without nle license. it is not one of their requirements. their document evaluation is faster than other bons. my eligibility was issued 1 month from the date of mailing, but it took another 1 month to receive it by snail mail. that was last may. but from what ive read from other posts, it will now take 2-3months of processing bec of the influx of applications. but their att is valid for 3months only. so register only with pearson if you are ready to sit for the exam. once passed, they can issue your license even without ssn.
  22. thanx for sharing this info, lawrence!...you helped us save our money for this training...so it is the same as GAMI which conducts BCLS, ACLS and claims to be accredited by AHA...have you seen their advertisement in Manila Bulletin?
  23. For hospital employment, these hospitals are hiring: Philippine Heart Center, Philippine General Hospital, Manila Doctor's, Las Pinas Doctor's.. For training: Philippine General Hospital (8k for 6months training)..will start Feb 2007 Philippine Kidney Dialysis Foundation (8k for 5weeks)...will start nov13. I hope this info help you...
  24. you can. i know that saipan bon allows that. i applied there and got my eligibility. no need for prc license. just your birth certif, marriage certif, photos, us$80 bank draft together with your application form. and of course, your high school and college transcripts, rle sent by your respective schools. follow our moderators' advice.
  25. thanx,spiderman!...i guess i have to give it till november 15...i hope to receive it b4 that...
