I had no idea where to place this, but here it goes
I don't want anyone to be discouraged or upset by anything I say...that being said...I have a per peeve about people who enters nursing who doesn't have a deep desire or passion for the field...if you do not really want it u feel it would be difficult for you to be an effective health care provider .., I think that you should really think on if nursing is the right road for you...there are other fields that have just as much stability that may be right for you Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

Understandable just try your best to get your grades a little higher... You still have spring semester and really study for the teas..I have heard it is a difficult test and I don't know if they still have the 3.5 rule...automatic entry for 3.5 gpa so your best bet right now is a good teas score and good grades... That's great... So you know about the nursing classes that you have to take that are outside of the program, they are like nursing informatics, nursing ethics, and some others I'm not sure of, I am in the old program but I have a few friends that are in the new program...I just think that those are the ones that you need prior to entry... Hotyoungmom- you have to take the teas test and they only do admission at this point once a year plus there are certain classes you have to take before you are admitted. This is all apart of the new curriculum.

It's a lot more than that darmor11...it is not an easy thing to take in so much info, adjust to a change in question styles w/ only a week to get it all in ... As far as the instructors the only problem is that they are split between the classes and aren't as available to sit down with as they usually are, u can usually catch them via email Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

Calling All Coppin STUDENTS!
The old program is being phased out for a new program...the old program is a 5 year track where ur gen ed course are mixed in with ur nursing classes. The new program is shorter and u take all ur pre reqs before entry into the program...the class cycle is also different as u take all non clinical classes first and finish with clinical classes...don't be scared its a good program it's just a few kinks they need to work out Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

We have a lot failing too...as far as the complaining from the instructors...don't know what too say...I feel sorry for bell Hawkins she is a sweet lady but I think they stretched her too much with all these classes...our patho is mixed with pharm... The new class have 2 seperate classes...you all are on a different part than us and ours is split in 2 so she have too keep up with 2 same classes on different subjects...what else are they complaining about? Seriously....It gets worse than this.... lol congrats on getting out of here. I am barely holding on as it is... and honestly now that the new program is in it sucks for us in the old program. It really seems as though the new program is better put together and organized than the old one

Not a grad but in the old program class of 2014 too... I dont know how your program is working but we are struggling as well... I do agree that there are not a lot of coppin nurses on here too so if you want to know anything feel free to message me.... maybe we can help each other out and make it through this semester in one piece w/ all faculties intact....

Coming from a straight A student....I can honestly say it takes a lot of work and dedication. You may think a C is the bare minimum to stay in but what I have learned Is that staying in is the most important thing. We live by the mantra C means continue. You have to work extremely hard for that C and you also need to be able to take constructive criticism. Try not to let others "stories" get under your skin. Nursing school can be what you make of it. And book smarts are good however a good nurse needs to be able to critically think or think outside the box. All the answers may not come from a book. Some may be common sense and some you will have to go by what you will do just make sure you think as nurse and not a student. That's all I can say for know along with this YOU CAN DO IT...JUST RELAX AND TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME ?- Charting Question??
No problem at all- Charting Question??
Yes that's good but say amputated R middle finger instead it sound more "nursey" lol- What is share time?
Question: I have an interview and I have to participate in share time as part of my interview. I really want the job and do not want to mess up. It is at GBMC can anyone help me? What is it? What will I be doing? What can I do to not screw myself out of a job. - I'm so nervous...
