  1. I did and now that I'm a RN I still have my steth cause no one bothered to grab one with a name on it. I didn't put RN on it though. Just my first and last name.
  2. I'm thinking about gettingh a LA license as well. It's rough for us new grads.
  3. Wow, I'm sorry to hear that things are so rough right now. I just graduated so I can't speak from experience in nursing but I will say try to give it a year before you decide to make a career change. It maybe the area as you said and not just nursing in general. Good luck.
  4. I will grad May 09 with my ADN and there are no issues in this area with hospitals not accepting ADN. We have already had four hospitals come speak to us and one has already accepted our applications. One of the hospitals doesnt take ADN grads in ICCU but no other discrimination issues as far.
  5. I can't wait! Pinning 9 May 09. It has been a long hard process but I know it will be well worth it. This semester feels different than all the others. I'm sure it's becaue we are so close to the end.
  6. :yeah:Congrats! That day can't come soon enough for me. May 09
  7. Congrats! I wish it was me. One more semester. So close but so far. I can't wait.
  8. :redbeatheI was having a very difficult time because I felt like I was spending so much time studying that I was doing wrong by my baby. I talked to my instructor about it because I was torn. She actually cried and told me she felt the same way only she had two kids when she was in school. She told me that in the end my daughter would remember all the good things, like being able to say her mom is a nurse, and not the decreased time with me for a 4 semesters. If it wasn't for her I may have given up. In the end you have to do what's best for you and your family.

I did so a search and found that several people feel that way. I'm also in Mississippi so I will have to fly in for the three mandatory sessions.
  10. I'm trying to find out the level of difficulty of the Texas Tech RN to BSN program. I have been told that it can be completed in two semesters. Is there anyone that has done so? It's been awhile since I went to school fulltime and worked fulltime. Should I expect to complete it in more than two semesters? I have the drive I just want to make sure I will have the time. Any advice would be wonderful. Thanks
  11. I am currently in a 9 wk A&P course. I have an A in the course and have had 96 or above on all my exams or assignments. My concern is because the class is so fast paced I don't feel like I'm actually retaining the info. I only have two weeks left then I will be going into a 9 wk A&P 2 course. I'm trying to decide if I should maybe shift to a traditional semester for the second half. I don't want to put myself at a disadvantage when I actually start the nursing program. A&P 1 is my last pre req to apply. Any input?
