  1. If you don't mind going up to Stockton they will be finished with it next year and they will need 400 techs. If i were you fatten up your resume with any extra certifications offered for your profession especially BLS and if you can get some registry work it will help. Keep checking for when the jobs will be posted it will be a few months before opening. http://www.psych-health.com/pages/indexes.cgi?_fn_=9944.9943.9939.9945.9938.9940.9937.9934.9935.9936.9933.9930&_pf_=1&idxid=9943&idxcatid=71 http://www.chcfstockton.com/project-updates/
  2. lol I so desperate for my first RN job I have the BBQ sauce ready *wine
  3. That bill better not pass, I know tons of new grads that cant find jobs.
  4. 27hr corrections
  5. Just took my RN boards today and wow $17-23 thats depressing I make 27 as an lvn
  6. I know for sure Children's hosp. Los Angeles only takes BSN into their residency program but as soon as the baby boomer's start to retire the demand will shoot up again and everyone will be hurting for RN's.
  7. State of California correctional Nurses make good money. I had a buddy with lots of OT pull in over 200k last year. sounds to good to be true check here State Salaries Results - Sacramento News - Local and Breaking Sacramento News | Sacramento Bee
  8. census goes down=nurses get sent home=bad check
  9. Go LPT to RN bridge at MT. SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE in walnut its a good program, i had 4 LPTs in my transition class. http://www.mtsac.edu/instruction/technology/nursing/useful_files.html
  10. I would get out of there! i wouldn't want my loved one under that type of care because people will be cutting corners to get done. As an LVN myself refuse to work under those types of conditions and why do people boast about how many patients they have, I guarantee those patients aren't getting the best care possible. And regarding med techs who's license are they under yours or ? So if they make a med error on the patient your charting on and the patient dies your up a creek without a paddle.
  11. In a a Prison setting $4254 a month And according to my check they put around $650 a month in my retirement and around $1000 a month towards my health insurance.
  12. yes thier are listings for state cna positions but at chino they wont hire a state cna. its easier to have registry whom are easier to control. if you give them a hard time they just "dnr" you for any reason, a state employee is very hard to fire just my personal belief from observations.
  13. I have not met a state CNA at chino they do use registry CNA's through right choice and preferred agencies. They are mostly used for suicide watches, you sit in front of a "suicidal" inmates door for 8 to 16 hours with very few breaks.
  14. If they don't require exp go for it mine required 1 year as an LVN to get in. Honestly I think the exp only made clinicals easier that's about it.
