June 2006 NLE passers: What have you been doing while WAITING
I think you have to write a letter explaining the reason for not having the license yet, since you took the board and passed it. And saying you didn't take the Local Board Exam would be lying. Regarding the experience, it depends upon your employeer, if they require it then u have to train first. But having the experience would be a plus for you. I have a question about the applicant fingerprint card: what's the abbreviation to use for the box asking for RACE? The abbreviations availabe in the intruction sheets i got was only for Hair and eye color, it doesn't say anything about RACE? Do i put A-for asian? your help would be appreciated! Thanx!!!:wink2:

Why did you take up nursing? What's your story?
The story of my life... After graduating highschool i had made up my mind to take up HRM but both my parents discouraged it. They had their own paths for me to take, my dad wanted me to take up engineering and my mom wanted me to become a nurse. I'm horrible in Math and thinking that nursing was the lesser evil i took up nursing but to my dismay it still had math plus a whole lot of paper work. I didn't think i would survive it but here i am now, a fresh grad waiting for the local board exam results to come out. Funny thing is I actually like it now that I know what it is all about. :loveya:
