Guess what guys!!! I passed the test. Huh! THanks lord. I started a job two weeks ago thinking that i failed. I was working in skilled nursing facility, then after two days, I got promoted to a higher position even without my license. They were impressed w/ my knowledge and performance. Got paid w/ a nurse rate aready even w/o my license. Until only two days ago, i received my license. Huh, at least for now, I have more confidence. Thank you guys for the inspiration. Thank you so much oh Lord. Patience & faith are the best tools. I've been receiving calls & offers. Huh! Thank very much. I'm a nurse now!!!I will still be the humble & caring girl forever. So, to all of you guys out there, don't lose hope. Life is like a wheel. When it is your time, it is your time. No matter how many failures you have, the wheel will never stop turning. Well, when I took my test, the administrator took my fingerprints so many times & it was unsuccesful. He kept on telling me to relax. Right after the test, he took it again. Wow, it went thru. I guess he was right. I was just nervous. When I took my RN few months ago, I got my result in the mai for almost two weeks, I failed. But I took my LVN on 6/01/06, I called BVNPT & was told to just wait in the mail for 3-4 weeks & firmly clarified licensees on the website are the old nurses' names. They are not posting names in the website unless we paid a certain amount, that is if when we pass the test. This applies w/ the LPN. I guess, I'll just have to wait in the mail. I read a lot of replies for waiting, & those who were from CA had waited for 2-4weeks to get their results in the mail & yet their names weren't posted yet in the BVNPT website. Tsk...tsk...I did something useful today. I applied in a facility hospital, they hired me for a medical records/front desk position. They will keep me until I become a nurse. What a relief. At least I have something to fall back on. It's not just I'm not optimistic w/ my result. It's better to have something than nothing. It's now time for me to seriously study on my RN test. Hurray, I got a job to pay my re-application for RN test. He-he. Prayers really help. I went to church yesterday. I prayed for all of us guys. For goodluck. I got one luck today...my employer wanted me to start tomorrow. Seemed so supported w/ me & very positive that I will be an official nurse...who knows days from now. :balloons: LET US ALL PRAY TOGETHER. IF IT IS OUR TIME, IT'S OUR TIME. I've learned so much on this experience. I never encountered such failure in my life esp when it comes to career. I took my local board overseas, I was included in the 20th highest examinees nationwide, as in the whole country. I accelerated in everything. I was able to come to the US w/o hardship due to my excellence in my job (Government Officer) & being smart on my field. I didn't practice my RN license for 12 years. Humbly speaking, when I took my Rn test few months ago, I was really depressed. I kept on asking myself, I'm not dumb or something. I really can't concentrate w/ my study. Later on, I realized. I was just overconfident w/ myself. I thought things will always come out the way I expect it to be. So when I took my Pn test a week ago, could you Imagine the stress again on my part. I said, HUH! Another NCLEX test. Anyways, God knows what is meant for me. No matter what, he will always gonna be beside me & HE will soon give me the title "NURSE". PRAYERS!PRAYERS!PRAYERS! Same here, i took it on The same date for the LPN. I called the board & they told me to wait for 3-4 weeks in the mail. Website for the LVN is not updated. With RN website, wait for 3-5 business days. I did take the RN CA few months ago. I knew i failed coz i didn't really study. In a week, i got my result in the mail. That's a long wait for me who doesn't have any penny anymore in my wallet. Anyways, I had a hard time w/ the PN test. I'm not sure if I made it.Might as well job hunt now so that I won't be that frustrated. CA website sucks! huh! sorry for that. Your encouragement gave me an idea to do something fruitful.

Doesn't it work the same way w/ the site: www.bvnpt.ca.gov? this is the site for lpn. Should I just wait in the mail for 3-4 weeks?

I found the website for LPN>>>http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov. & they have the same screen as the RN website where I have to type my name. So they are not updating this site as the RN website. I'm jobless right now & couldn't bear the wait of 3to4 more weeks. I had a hard time applying for a job unrelated to nursing. Should just challenge for my RN again while waiting for my result in 3 to 4 weeks. Huh! Confused!

Hi. I took My RN & failed it. A week ago, Itook my Pn & I'm still waiting for my result. Two business days had passed already so I made it to myself to start reviewing again in order not to be frustated again. Based on my experience on both tests, topics just roll on Precautions (gloves, surgical mask etc), cohorting (w/ pt can go w/ a certain pt w/ certain diseases or w/c pt shld go to a private rm or isolation); priorities; delegation; infection/ communicable dses. I graduated 13 years ago & I had a hard time w/ precautions, cohorting & the "which pt to see first" question. Can you refresh me w/ these topics? I believe you are very knowledgeable w/ these topics. I was checking the threads, & as I go on, I noticed the test just mainly focused on these topics in addition to bunch of pharma questions. Hope you can help us. Any tips for those respirator mask, surgical mask, standard, contact, droplet, airborne in a certain situation/scenario. Thanks!

Today is Monday, so I guess w/ my experience on my RN test few months ago, i failed, I'm assuming that i failed my PN too in order not to be frustrated so much. YOu made me cry. You are the best. It inspired me. I kept on postponing my application for my RN test for the second take feeling that I wasn't ready enough. Any idea on how long I will wait for LPN CA website result? This wait is horrible. I'm getting depress alerady. Is there any way for me to get the result earlier? It's been 3 business days after my test & LVN website says, no records returned or no results returned. HUH! Does it mean i failed?

Wow, congrats! Hopefully those 3 select that apply questions, 12 pharma, 3 labs, a lot of priorities, infection & standard precautions & other hard questions I don't know where in my nursing book to look at & I can't remember, would PULL ME UP. My PC shutting off at 85 for my PN is making me more nervous. I swear, this test is even harder than my RN test few months ago which I failed. I'm losing confidence now. I felt like a dumb. Anybody knows the website to check the PN in CA. We don't have quickresult svc. How long would I find out online? Huh!

I took my LPN at the same date. Good luck for the both of us. Anyways, w/ my experience on my RN test few months ago,w/c i failed, PC shut off at 75, i failed it. So just pray hard too. Don't worry, I'll pray for you too. Hope we'll both pass.

Does anybody out there know the website for checking the result of LVN in CA? How long do I have to wait for the result online? DO i have to include the weekends for the wait? I took the test on Thursday (6/01/06). Pls reply. thanks a lot
