  1. CONGRATULATIONS! :balloons: :yelclap:
  2. Hi, Just to comfort other California NCLEX takers, here is my story. I took the NCLEX on April 13. Today, I still have not heard whether I passed. Other people who graduated with me took the test weeks later than me and their results were posted in three days. I discovered, after two weeks of sweating bricks, that for some reason the BRN had not processed my transcript, although every other graduate from my school that has taken the NCLEX has not had this problem. I start work on Monday and still have no official word. One man at the BRN was kind enough to give me a "hint" and told me that I had nothing to worry about. I got the minimum number of questions but felt pretty horrible after the test. The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating for me. It would have helped if I had realized that California will give you an IP and an ATT without a complete file but I didn't know that. I have learned a lot through this whole experience. I am trying to be more Zen about the whole thing. It has been tough.
  3. Our school required us to take the ATI exam strictly as a predictor test to identify our weaknesses and help us figure out where we needed to study to pass the NCLEX. We did not use it as a study tool.
  4. I received mine later in the day - it was in my cyber mailbox when I got up the next morning.
  5. It has everything to do with what state you take the test in and whether you took the NCLEX-PN or NCLEX-RN.
  6. Does anyone have "official" information, meaning you received it from someone at the BRN, regarding when the website is updated with NCLEX results? I heard it updates it once a day at 3 a.m. but I have no idea if that is really true. I am waiting for my results and if it truly only updates once a day at 3 a.m., there is certainly no point in checking it every hour.....:). Thanks for the info.
  7. I would certainly say #3. This is the most unstable patient of the four.
  8. Hamburg, Sorry to hear you did not pass. Hang in there. You'll get it next time. I know it must be terribly frustrating. It is a tough test. Definitely the hardest I have ever taken.
  9. Don't panic. Everyone feels terrible after they take the NCLEX. Go to this link to see how the test works: http://www.ncsbn.org/testing/candidates_info_cat.asp It helped me a lot to understand the test after I read this explanation. Getting the last question wrong does not necessarily mean you failed the test as you can see from this discussion on a CAT type of test. I took the NCLEX on the 13th in the state of California and am still waiting to hear my results although one of the reps at the BRN told me although he could not release my results because my file is not complete that he would give me a hint, he then told me that I had nothing to worry about. I am taking that as a pass but it will be good to see my license number in black and white. If you did fail, you can no longer work under a permit and have to wait 45-90 days to retest, depending on the state you live in. Hang in there and think good thoughts. Hopefully all is well.
  10. Did you receive your result via mail? Are you saying that one day ago you called and they told you they had not received your result yet? Wow, this is all pretty confusing. So many different responses to everyone. It would be nice if there were a universal standard. I am still waiting...
  11. Did anyone hear their results? I took the NCLEX on the 13th of April and still have not heard. I finally called the BRN and they told me they were waiting for my final transcript. In California, they will give you an ATT and an IP when your file is incomplete but will not license you until your file is complete. Usually that is where the delay is. I am still waiting, on pins and needles, very frustrating.
  12. I took the Kaplan review course and I think it was well worth it. The question bank is valuable along with the 7 question trainers. It gives you a lot of opportunity to answer a variety of questions and to review content as well as get used to the NCLEX type of format. I just graduated and took the NCLEX on the 13th of April. I still have not heard if I passed because my final transcripts were still not recorded when I talked to the BRN. However, the man answering the phone told me I have nothing to worry about so I am taking that as a positive answer! I will be very excited once I actually see my name with a license number on the website. Good luck.
