License Expires Next Year, Why???
Hi folks, can you guys figure out why my License is only until next year while some of my classmates who took the NCLEX and passed will have their license expire in 2008? How come mine's only 1 year and I will have to renew it right away next year? Is this maybe a typo or BRN had a mistake??? Please advise on what I should do.. Thanks a bunch!

Graduated in May 2006 and still no authorization to take NCLEX
Try to find out if your classmates have gotten their ATTs. If they have, then contact PEARSON VUE coz that means there's some problem with yours. I had the same problem and I contacted PEARSON and they said that BRN does not have my record and they asked me if I already received the packet to apply for an ATT. I told them I have my packet and I already applied via online and PEARSON even processed my payment then I received an email from them shortly saying that they will investigate my case.. Just few days later, I received my ATT... Anyway, did you apply at PEARSON via mail or ONLINE?

When to take the boards...
It depends on what you get on your rediness test result on the last day of your KAPLAN Class... though, it is advised by some instructors (at least my Kaplan instructor) to not take it right away unless you feel really really comfortable. We were told to keep practicing the question trainers online and if you have the q-bank, practice it as well. I do know someone who took it just 4 days after the KAPLAN CLASS and passed the board... I took the board 2 weeks after the KAPLAN CLASS and still awaiting for my result. GOOD LUCK!

NCLEX Tutorial
That's exactly the tutorial when you take the real NCLEX exam.. I think that will help out if you're not quite comfortable with computers..... That is also the EXACT (SUPER DUPER word for word TUTORIAL that you will see in the real NCLEX).. feel free to practice it now so that you don't waste precious time just testing on it when you do the real exam.. I think that counts against your time if you take too much time in the tutorial section....

No math whatsoever.... What do you guys think?? Did I pass or not???? I felt relieved when I left PEARSON, then I've been hit by the NCLEXTITIS....S&S Worried look, anxiety, palpitations, constant checking on the BON website even at odd hours... what do you guys think?????? NICU2006, I feel the pain of WAITING>.. it's killing me.... Unlike other States, I have to wait longer days even weeks coz I live in the BEAUTIFUL STATE of CALI4NIA.....

my bad..here's another try. 1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75 2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? kaplan (2 week course) then self studied after that. used saunder's cd for content review and lipincott cd. but i mostly used the kaplan online. 3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? no, i'm not married and i don't have a son.. .hehehe just kiddin'... nope my son did not offer any testing..:angryfire 4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? just took it this morning.. am still waiting for result. currently i have the nclextitis bug.....oh the waiting and waiting!!!!!!!! 5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? mixed emotions.. i don't want to check my answers if they were wrong or right... i just want to rest my brainacles... 6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes, and hopefully the last....

Uap / Lpn???
Now how about the "Floated RN" (e.g Ped Nurse to Med-Surg), do they automatically become like an LPN??? Do they still get the most critical ones or do they get the stable ones????

Did anyone get 60s on Kaplan tests and still pass??
I did the Question trainer 1-4 and scored 53%, 51%, 49%. I realized that I was not getting better and so I switched and answered all the QBANK questions (ALL 1000 plus questions) then I took Question tRAINER 5 and 6. I got 60% and 61.33% respectively.. I felt much better since I noticed that there was a significant increase in the scoring... I then watched the Content Videos and took the Question Trainer 7, I got 65.53%!!!!! wohoo!! Now, Kaplan says "Score at or above 65%? You are ready to take the NCLEX-RN exam! .... take your test with confidence."
