  1. graduated from iuon and partner school feb 2009. i've already taken the nclex and passed the 1st time. if you need any questions answered let me know.
  2. i have to agree with knowing your lab values and drug classificiations. i also had a couple of questions ong ABGs, so know these values as well.
  3. Nothing is definite until your state's BON validates it. However, the pop-up screen is a good indication that you've passed.
  4. CA does not participate in QuickResults. I took my NCLEX on 7/2 and found out on 7/6 that I passed by verifying with the CA permanent license verification. I received my license by that Friday. Another way of checking is with the Pearson Vue "trick."
  5. 2. After the board of nursing declares a candidate eligible, they will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT). If a candidate chooses to provide an e-mail address, all correspondence from Pearson VUE will arrive ONLY by e-mail. If a candidate does not provide an e-mail address all correspondence will arrive ONLY through U.S. mail. A candidate must have their ATT to schedule an appointment to take the NCLEX examination and they must present their ATT at the test center on the day of their examination to be admitted to the examination. Candidates will not be admitted to the examination without their ATT's and will be required to re-register and re-pay to take the examination. (Information taken from the NCSBN website) Actually maybe you should look at the website and see if it answers your questions. www.ncsbn.org
  6. I felt the same way before my test. I didn't study the day before the test because I didn't want to get myself worked up about what I did and didn't know. Make sure you have something to eat before the test. I always remembered by mom telling me to eat breakfast before a test otherwise all I'll be thinking of is how hungry I was. Well anyways good luck.
  7. I used NCLEX 3500, but I also used Saunders & Mosby's. I also did the Kaplan review course.
  8. I have to say that this "trick" worked for me. I took my test on July 2 in CA and did not feel too confident walking out. I remember briefly reading about this trick so I decided to try it later that night. Once I filled out the required information on the registration page I got the pop-up screen. I was excited about this but I did not want to celebrate until I knew for sure. Today, July 7 I checked the CA BRN verification and saw my name. I was so excited I haven't stopped smiling since. This was my first time to take it after a long journey to finish up my nursing degree. I did the Kaplan review, Saunders QA Review, and Saxton Review. Good luck to everyone out there.
  9. If you want to experience island life and go to nursing school, there is a nursing school in St. Kitts called International University of Nursing.
  10. Hi I just found out today that I was accepted for May 2007 class. They do not have dorms, but the school helps you find housing. If you apply for the Sallie Mae loan (private) it covers your housing costs as well.
  11. I am officially done with all my pre-reqs. Got an A in micro and it was hard earned. Now I can begin applying to nursing program for the Spring 2007. To pass the time I am going to take Sociology, hopefully another A. Good luck to everyone out there.
  12. Just wanted to join in the fun. I'm taking an 8 week microbiology class this summer starting June 20.
