I agree with you smittojess. I have been paralyzed with anxiety, making it all see harder than it needs to be. The two week break negatively affected my motivation factor.

Yup. It's official. I have the APA nazi. No "A" for you!.... Responded to the required elements of the assignment. Reply posts are thoughtful and scholarly. APA/format/grammar - capitalization errors in article titles; Hartman's is incorrectly used as possessive several times; incorrectly written 5; contractions; case study quotes need to be properly cited and referenced (-5) I have (not I've) had an A in every nursing class since I started in Oct 11. I have never had this much trouble. I should never have doubled up in classes. I would like to see the mark ups you know? Learn from my mistakes. If thes %#$^&ing DB posts are going to be as long as &^%^&^ papers, then show us the write ups like if it were a paper. SO FRUSTRATED...

Week 2 grades are in and I believe, I have my first nit-picky TA. I'm not impressed. I guess I should count my blessings I've not encountered this bloodhound before. Anyone else in section 7 know who I'm talking about?

I know this is an old thread but I'm posting. I'm starting family in January. If everyone is failing the exam, session after session after session, why the heck doesn't the school fix the language in their tests?

Leadership had no leadership, and The teaching class had no teacher. Same professor. That chick needs to get out of teaching! I do not understand what they want us to write for Method of Evaluation on our teaching plans, and until I understand this, I can't start my discussion post. I've read what other people have put on the DB and I just don't believe they are putting down what the question asks. I don't want to wait until the TA reads the board and puts up a one line response that does not help, so that I can ask for clarification and wait another 24 hours for another one line response that still doesn't help. Heck, she checked out anyway. The announcements say, Good luck in the future and have a nice break. I think that meant, "your on your own, suckers".... I'm looking for help in finding the evaluation methods that will evaluate the effectiveness of my teaching plan in helping my learners to meet the learning objectives? To me, that's what the last row in the chart is looking for. The DB instructions say we can find a list of several evaluation methods on page 576. Thats a bunch of BS. Anyone find this list ANYWHERE in the text?

Narrative summary looks JUST LIKE assessment. This is past ridiculous. What a waste of time.

I took a break from the week 4 assessment and peeked at week 5. It looks like our narrative summary for week 5 assessment comes from the case study patient...heads up to those of you who did not purchase the case studies. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Page 2, sample physical exam. What's your take on the, add diagram of thoracic lymph nodes to use for examination purposes, piece? Me, I'm skipping it. Don't know what I would do for that anyhow. Find a picture from the book and copy and paste? WTH.

I feel like all I'm doing is copying from the example assessment we were given this week. My client is my 12yo daughter who (praise the Lord) has no adventitious lung sounds, no irregular heartbeat and no lumps in her tiny little boo..This just doesn't seem right. I'm copying the form and basically saying negative negative negative. It just looks like I'm taking the easy way out. It's the schools fault for saying we have to pick clients from different age groups. I've already covered the adult and older adult. Oh well. Off to waste a few hours I go..... You know what else? I started at OU Oct 2011. Since this fall term started, I feel like I'm just giving them money so they can give me a degree after I put on a little show for them. The last three classes were like, "faking it". I'm playing school. Not learning a dang thing. Here I go, off to fake it once more...

Not impressed with the case studies. It's going in my course eval. Thats $36.00 I could have spent on something else. I would tell future students not to waste their money. and boy do I wish I could have tested out of this class....Sick of these assessments. Blech.

I know what you mean. I'm not even doing a table. I have four objectives. That's it. I haven't submitted it because it seems too simple.

I agree. Late night. I do my best work from 1-4am. Four kids but blessed to only work 16hours per week.

I had Evidence and Leadership this fall too, and I agree with you. While there are still a lot of gaps in this class, it is better than Leadership by far. It's just too ironic that Leadership, had zero leadership. On another note, we are turning another page to a new week. I am working on Assignment 2, objectives and it's not that bad! I feel a little relief today, which is good because the holiday this week seriously bites into our time doesn't it? I thought about asking for an extra day, but that just cuts into time for next week. I'm really over the 5 week format. I have to keep my eye on the prize though...
