  1. My namebadge has a huge RN in white on a dark background on it. PCT's say just that, and we where whatever scrubs we like!
  2. the glucose monitors at my facility are used by putting the blood sample into the machine....and i take advice from any knowledgable person when im using an unfamiliar piece of equiptment some CNA's are very skilled and knowledgable about technical aspects of pt. care, they help new RN's alot when we first hit the floors as long as they get the respect they deserve!
  3. ok, not breathing but weird snoring noise? was there a pulse?....did patient really need compressions? ive never seen a pulseless person make any noises...but im still new at this..... always hated these scenerios on school exams...need more info! lol
  4. ok... i tried the clipboard thing in school...i was forever putting it down and then wasting valuable minutes looking for it! so, im trying out different 2 sided sheets that have several patients on each side. I still havent found the perfect one...i will make my own eventually. thanks for sharing
  5. how many patients do you get at once? this sheet is very detailed but i would have 6-10 of them/ shift....my pockets are already full of flushes and alcohol wipes, 4x4's and pens!
  6. thank God, i havent seen this on my floor, i have only been there since June, its my first RN position since i graduated in May...i work on a very busy and understaffed telemetry/med. surg step down unit and work third shift.....they are just so relieved to have another body to help them try to keep their collective heads above water!
