Did anyone not make a semester?
I am so sorry that this has happen to you. Please don't give up on this, maybe you can apply for your LPN, then go back when there is a space available. My heart goes out to you, nursing school is hard but you can do this. When you go back you will only have one semster to go. Good Luck and may God bless you.

Cellphones in class
I read this thread last week and thought to myself how unprofessional is is for a students cell phone to ring during class. I started my second term on Monday, on Tuesday I was in class and the instructor's cell phone went off twice and both times she excused herself and answered her phone, she returned to class both times and preceeded to tell us about the conversation, go figure. Immediately I thought about this thread:uhoh3: . I am now wonderng what she would have done if it was one of the students whose phone went off..........................

Help with an annoying classmate
OH I can so relate, I have a classmate who is so like that. I just make it my business to stay clear of her, but sometimes that is impossible. She has been to med school, education, vet school and god know what else. I think that people like this say and do things to make themselves look better than anyone else. I just simply reply, that we are all here to learn and since you already know the information and I don't I would like to take the time to learn. In short go away.

Failed my first test...........so discouraged
Thank you all for the words of encouragement, it was just what I needed. Once I went to over the questions I could see the rational on the questions, my instructor is going to give us an extra 30 minutes on the test, so maybe this will help. Once again thank you

Failed my first test...........so discouraged
Hi everyone, I am in an accelerated second degree program. We just took our first test in health assessment and I made a 73.2, well in order to pass the class I have to make a 77% on all the test, which means that I will need to make a at least an 82 on the next test. I have been studying my butt off. I meet with my instructor today to go over my test. I have the theory part time, but I am not quite getting the critial thinking down. I am soooooo dicouraged. I feel like such a failure. I am scared that if I can't make it through the first semster, I won't make it through the program. Please any advice would be helpful. I have been using the tools from the book and website, whatelse can I do. I want to be a nurse more than anything. Please help me. :(

Spalding University BSN Accelerated
Hi , I was recently accepted at Spalding University's accelerated program, I am so excited. I will be finishing up my BS in Business in May and starting the program in my. From what I know Spalding has one of the best nursing programs in the state, the tution is a little high:angryfire , but so is Bellermine. I was also accepted at Bellermine, but for the year 2007, by then I will already have my nursing degree. I say so for it. I would apply no due to the fact that they don't send the letters out until Feb of next year. Good Luck. Sorry I didn't look at the date on this post. Birth Shot Records for school??????
I am in the same boat, I can't find my immunizations records as well. I was born in Florida, grad high school in GA, went to the Army out of high school, I have any appointment to have my tiers drawn and going from there. My insurance will cover this, so not really worried. I was told that to have this done without insurance is @ $400, who has that kind of money laying around. I would try your local health dept. Maybe they can help or maybe contact the school and see if they have any suggestions. Good Luck

What should I do next??
Have you tried looking into any accelerated nursing programs. If you have a degree in another major, you can earn a BSN in a 12-18 months. I will be grad in June with a degree in Businees Administration, and I have an assoicate in science. I will be starting the nursing program on May 8. Check with the local colleges to see if they offer this type of program. Good Luck, I know that you can do.
