I finished LVN/LPN school in May 07 and am almost done with Excelsior I found going right into it while fresh out of school worked for me. You can take NC 1 before you enroll. So you can get a feel for the process and see it will work for you. Also EBAY you can find used study materials there and save a lot of money. I am planning on attending the Chancellors care plan lab befor attempting the care plan test there are many programs that offer help(for a price) chancellors website is chancellorsonline.com if you are interested. DONT sign any contracts till you take NC 1 so you know if you want to persue this line of education (some people freak when tested, they generaly do not do well with excelsior) GOOD Luck

yeh07 don't throw in the towel. I know this is a huge disappointment for you, however you need to keep at it. A girl who graduated with me had the same sort of thing happen, exept the board of nurses in Texas wouldn't give her a GVN until she provided a Decleritory Order, It took some time but I understand she will be allowed to take the NCLEX on Monday and will be be licensed if she passes. Sorry for your delay, but keep your head and work thru it, It will be worth it. Traci

Yeh07 We could be twins, I too was at the top of my class, top score on the HESI. I felt the same as you do about the NCLEX like I forgot all they taught me, & the questions didn't really make me feel warm & fuzzy. But I did pass and I am sure you did too. I found my License number on the state website 48 hours to the minute from when I finished my exam. So I did not pay to find out the results. Traci

Hey All! 2007 Graduate Here from Temple College at Taylor. You are in for a full year of learning but Alia You are in GREAT hands. Mr. Lee and Mrs. Gregory are the TOP of the Line and in Templ Ms. Ervie is Awsome. Hang on your year will be over befor you know it. Hey Ben I'm waiting too. I took the NCLEX PN today too, it shut off at 85 Q's and I can't remember the last question. I had a ton of Drug questions which happens to be my worst subject. (do you think they have inside info?) anyway Good luck I hope you find out soon that you passed. Traci

I am a student nurse too. When getting ready to start my Peds rotation the clinical group who was already there told of nurse eating monsters and horrors of the unit. I was really looking forward to peds up until this point, now I was dreading it. The peds unit was moving during the last rotation so I figured this to be part of the problem, they were done with the move so hopefully my group would be accepted a little better, but we took no chances we showed up on day 1 with breakfast for the nurses and a good additude (dispite the last groups nay saying). We have had three weeks on the unit and I must say all of the nurses have been nice and encouraging to me, I would love working there after graduation!

Hello I took the net last November and am now in nursing school. My advise is to buy the net study guide it is worth the money. It has 2 practice tests for math and 2 for reading and examples to follow. the practice tests are much like the actual net, same # and type of questions. Good luck. Traci

Waiting to hear from Temple college, I am already accepted to the LVN program but would prefer the RN. I should know something in 2 weeks or so but it seems these last few weeks are the hardest.
