Got The Vaccine! Share Your Experience
UPDATE: I got the 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine yesterday. 12 hours after I only got a sore arm. Not until the middle of the night closer to midnight when I started to get the chills and 101 F fever which went away after an hour after taking Advil. But I was tired in the morning since I didn't really sleep well because of the chills. I was fine this morning, but got the chills again and low grade fever mid-afternoon. I'm feeling a little better now, but it seems that the side effects comes and goes which might be around for a few more days.

Book vs Movie
I totally agree with you. But then when I do see a really really good movie, I try to find out if it was a book or based from a book and most of the time it is. Like I've read The Girl on the Train and I really loved it, then there was a movie for it so I watched it. It was okay, not as great as the book.

The Walking Dead
***SPOILERS AHEAD*** I almost stopped watching after Glen died (he was one of my favorite characters in the show). But I gave it another shot. Then I totally stopped when they killed off Carl. It's just repetitive now and I honestly don't even have a clue where the story is going.

Do you get covid pay?
We got COVID pay back in March. Those who had direct contact with COVID patients received more, but then everyone else at the hospital I worked at received extra pay as well. It lasted up until June or July I think. Then the numbers went down then we had less COVID units. But back in November we opened up more COVID units and did not get COVID pay anymore.

Having A Nurse As A Patient
I've taken care of nurses as patients before. It's either they are super nice or not very nice. It can be a little intimidating at times, but I've learned through the years that we are all just people and no one really has to be treated any different especially in the hospital. We really should not treat anyone special just because of their "position" in society. If you think about it, what makes one patient better or special than the next, really not much in my opinion. It's all about prioritization.

Got The Vaccine! Share Your Experience
Hello everyone! I was skeptical at first about the vaccine, but I educated myself and read as much as I can about it. I got the 1st dose of the vaccine last month towards the end of the month. It was in our auditorium and after the shot they have to watch us for about 15 mins for any reaction. They prioritized high risk employees such as those in direct contact with COVID patients which I am. I did not get any bad side effects other than a sore arm. When I got the flu shot my arm was actually more sore than this. My heart did feel like it was raising later that night but it did not last and I'm a coffee drinker so it might have been that. By the next day, its just the sore arm. I will be getting the 2nd dose this week, and I can post an update on this.
