Hi everyone! If anyone is comfortable, would you mind sharing your starting offers for the main campus in Manhattan at Kimmel or Tisch (base salary and any differentials if offered)? I am comparing offers amongst several NYC hospitals and just want to make sure my offer from NYU is fair and reasonable. Thank you.

I only interviewed for my preferred unit

They actually are considering people who haven't graduated yet, which is super exciting and would be a huge weight off of our shoulders! I know three people who haven't graduated yet and all just accepted their offers for ED, cardiac ICU and SICU

I just had my final round of interviews but I am not sure how long to expect to be waiting to hear back about a final decision. The nurse manager of the unit said they have some more candidates to interview before they sit down with a hiring committee to make final decisions. Does anyone know about how long I should expect to wait to hear back about a decision after my final interview? I know of some people that have heard back and gotten offers at this point so I am curious.

Were the august job postings removed?? They are no longer online and when I check my application status it says the job is no longer available...

Causal "get to know you" type of thing, when are you graduating, what unit would you like to be on, what campus, why NYU, etc. They said I should hear back from someone by the end of the month about scheduling an interview with the manager but nothing yet. I've heard from people in the past they really drag out the hiring process LOL!!

Hi everyone, starting a forum to discuss updates about the hiring process for Northwell's August 2023 Fellowships. Just applied last week to NSUH and LIJ, haven't heard anything yet.

Any idea when the Spring 2023 app will be open??!

I am a soon to be new grad, and I LOVE the OR. I've worked as an OR tech for a while, and I love the idea of nursing in the OR setting. I'm looking for opinions; should I start in an OR as a circulator, hopefully learn to scrub, go the APRN/RNFA route, or should I suck it up and work in an ICU, and go the CRNA route. Money is somewhat an object here, I know ultimately I would earn more as a CRNA but if I am able to end up making just a little more as an APRN/RNFA than I would as just an RN I would be fine with that too. Keep in mind I am in the NYC metro area and will hopefully have plenty of opportunities to start in big level 1 trauma centers which would be great for CRNA school, not so great for RNFA because a lot of them are teaching hospitals so residents primarily assist in surgery.

Would anyone be willing to share their starting salary offers for the Long Island locations? Also if anyone is specifically in periop/OR fellowship what the call schedule and pay would be like once the training is over. Trying to get an idea to compare LI vs NYC new grad offers. Thank you!

I'm curious as to how competitive the first few cohorts will be because this is a new program. I feel that it being the only program on Long Island will result in high competition seeing as there are so few programs in the surrounding area. However, the price may turn some people off. Would anyone be willing to share stats?

Hello all, Congratulations to those accepted! I am a current BSN student and am seriously considering applying to Fairfield University's CRNA program. Although I am years from beginning my application process, I have some very important decisions to make during my undergraduate years (choosing internships, retaking courses, searching for an ICU residency, etc) to maximize my chance of acceptance. I was hoping some of you would be willing to post your stats, classes you chose to re-take and why, science GPA's vs BSN GPA's, leadership positions, years of experience, and other aspects of your application that you feel were important to your acceptance. I wish you all the best of luck on your journey to becoming a CRNA, and thank you for being a role model for hopeful undergraduates like myself.
