  1. I jusstttt started using these the other day with my Littman and I LOVE them. I got home after my shift using them, and I bought 2, 25 pack boxes (www.azream.us) Im one of those people who complain about never being able to hear well enough. I have an ultrascope as well...works very well, but not as good as these soft diaphragms
  2. Iguana Med is my new favorite. Bit pricey but I'm finding it to be a good investment.
  3. that is SO FUNNY you would write that. Im having that EXACT same stressor. I just graduated in Sac too. All my other posts were talking about how I feel like I have a May deadline when there are "more of us" hitting the scene. At least the may grads have a whole summer AND another semester to look before their rivals come out. This is MADNESS!
  4. The recruiter...her name is Bobbie...told me that the managers have decided to hire locally because they have so many candidates already established in the area. But then again I am in Sacramento, so maybe she just meant southern california
  5. that is horrible!
  6. St. Bern has made it more than clear to me..actually saying that they won't be hiring outside of the local area. The recruiter was nice about it, but very blunt.
  7. agreed Wendy79. I graduated in Dec 08. I wonder how long everyone else on here has been loking.
  8. yayyyyy! Congrats RN!! Now we just need to find a job...or maybe just me...
  9. Hi Sarah I actually just got an email from them saying that I'm on the waiting list and they will call if anything comes up... so... we'll see. Best of success to you though!
  10. Did you end up finding a job? Im a new grad and just passed my boards...no jobs out there right now
  11. We are all in the same boat. If you find a program hiring share the love! hehe
  12. Im with ya Kate. This is SO SAD. It's starting to make me bitter every time I hear on TV or the radio about a nursing shortage. I'm just like "STOP TELLING PEOPLE THAT!!" I have to just switch the station lol
  13. I wonder how many new grads there are that have been out for a year and still haven't gotten a job. ...this makes my stomach turn.
  14. Oh that darn NCLEX. Had me goin CRAZY for 3 days!! But I passed with 75!!!!! Thank you JESUS!!!!
  15. Hey I just graduated in in Dec of '08, just found out yesterday I past my boards I NEED A JOB NOW!!! lol I'm totally willing to move as long as I am still in CA. Does anyone know of any new grad programs that start in the next month or 2 and are still accepting applications?? I feel like its a race against time now...before the next group of new grads hit the scene
  16. I took the nclex this afternoon as well. 75 and then a grey screen, I almost pee'd on myself!! Did I do THAT bad that it didnt even bother giving me some extra ones to bump up my score??? I prayed before going into the test, :bowingpurand again after for peace either way. I have to stay positive.
  17. Just took NCLEX today and shut off at 75. I could just SCREAM. I think I'm too in shock to even cry. I have a glimmer of hope that I passed. But I really felt like I was guessing on everything. And I know it may have just been my mind messing with me, but it felt like the administrators there all had the "awww try again next time" look on their faces as I was leaving. LOTS of crazy medication questions, we didnt even LEARN these in school!!!
  18. I was wondering about this in my area. Thanks for posting
  19. Just thought I'd add mine in case it could be helpful Doc12r.doc
  20. Grey's Anatomys and House!!!!!!!!! Not crazy about how nurses are depicted on GA but I love the show anyhow! Funny how they make it look like MDs have all that patient contact.
  21. Looks like we all are getting As!!! As for everyone!!!!
  22. Yay! GOODBYE MICRO!!!!! Got a A...it's goodie nuff for me!!! Good luck everyone On to Nursing School!
  23. Im a nursing student and I'd like to go into correctional nursing however I am alittle nervous at the thought. How safe do all of you feel on a daily basis? Have any of you ever been attacked?
  24. I am SO happy someone else feels this way too. All my classmates are like "youre so smart, youll do great in clinical" But NO! clinical is not going to be the same as this book work. Critical thinking makes me very nervous at times. Not so much the clinical portion of school. But are my study methods going to help me once we are doing critical thinking problems?? I just wont know until we get there, I just glad there are forums like this that I can rant! :selfbonk:
  25. Yes! I passed my metrics exam! I can now relax and work hard in my Micro class knowing that I can progress through the class now!... for those of you luck ones out there that dont have this requirement...my micro class requires it's student to pass a metrics conversation exam, if you do not, you will NOT be able to pass the class, even with an A ...crazy huh? They decided to do that since they noticed that the new nursing students that were starting, had major problems with converting units! geez...but that one hurdle is passed for me...on to another!
