  1. Hi sorry I just now saw this! I had my interview yesterday afternoon with a panel of 3 people. I was a bit confused about their classification of the dept because during the initial interview invitation phone call, they said Emergency but then found out it is the annex area apparently just med surg with pts admitted from the ED. A little misleading if you ask me! LOL but the interview itself was all situational questions, probably 5-7 questions? I didn't keep track and cant remember them besides the typical "why did you apply to Davis." Overall, I felt as if it went well, just remember they are trying to get to know the type of person you are & how youd handle situations, so bring any clinical or life experience into it you can! another tip is that Davis's HR team actually has a list on their website of interview questions, if you wanted to get an idea.
  2. Mine was for the ED & virtual but I received an email the next day after I got a call offering an interview. If you havent gotten anything, I would definitely reach out to make sure!
  3. has anyone who got an interview for the memorial ED received a follow up?
  4. just received an email with an interview invite for memorial ED!
  5. I did - no changes on my portal & havent received a call/email yet. Im guessing we will hear later because that cohort begins in January ?
  6. thank you! I’m super excited ? good luck on your journey!
  7. nope, haven’t heard anything yet from sf. but I got an acceptance from Johns Hopkins for their masters program, which is my first and only acceptance so I’ll more than likely go there. I’m not sure when we should be hearing back from sf though
  8. ahhh I got in!! so excited / nervous since I would be moving from CA. Has anyone started a FB page? I’ve seen a lot of people do that with other schools to get to know each other/ help find places to live etc. CONGRATS to everyone who also got it!! ?
  9. I submitted mine a few days ago but noticed one of my recommenders hadn’t sent in his letter. I contacted the school to see what I can do & they gave me an email to send it to BUT they also noted that the letters need to actually be signed! I know it’s past the due date but this is so nerve racking, I have to contact my recommenders again to see if they signed it. Just a heads up for anyone applying
  10. letters through the app service & transcripts directly to NYU, the address is on their ABSN website. ?
  11. Hey guys, I am starting this thread for us to talk about the process, ask any questions and anything else! Ill be applying soon, as I have a handful of other apps due at the end of this month to take care of first. Good luck to us all!
  12. Hey guys im starting this thread an an opportunity for all of us applying to talk about the process & ask questions Little bit about me- This is my first time applying to this program. I live in California, got my bachelors in Kinesiology from Chico State. My overall GPA is around 3.7 ( I havent done the complete calculation because I have completed courses at 4 different colleges and still have some in progress. ) Stats- B Anatomy-A Physio-B Micro-B Chem-B Psyc- A Human Dev- A Sadly, most of my prereq classes are Bs, I'm hoping my other supplemental information will hold me up. Good luck to us all!
  13. *For University of San Francisco's Entry MSN program due Sept 1, starting in Spring* I wanted to start a thread to talk about thoughts, updates on the app process, decisions, etc. I should be submitting my application in a week or so once I finish the essays! Good luck to us all!
  14. Hey guys, I thought Id start a thread for the SFSU BSN program since I havent found one yet. I should be submitting everything this upcoming week. Good luck to us all!
  15. well that works out! and someone just said the public isn’t even really required just encouraged. I should have emailed asking the same thing before the deadline ? best of luck to you!
  16. I used assist.org and UC Davis’s sample prerequisites, which is linked below their list of prerequisites, to match my classes to the requirements. I took these courses at Sierra College in Rocklin. Under communication prerequisites it notes group, verbal *and written principles. I included a screen shot of it stating public speaking as part of the verbal, not group requirement. It's also separated on NursingCAS when you fill out the app, it gives you an opportunity to fill in 3 different courses for the overall communication requirement. If you submitted your app without filling in a public speaking, or something similar, you must have opted out for assigning a course. I’m unsure if this will still place you in the running for the program because from my understanding, the change from last year and how the prerequisites were laid out, it seemed like you needed 3 different classes. I never actually contacted the program so I very well could be wrong. Hope this helps!
  17. I applied last year without the public speaking, as it wasn’t part of the required classes that needed to be met! ?
  18. thank you! I already submitted my application before the priority date, do you know if we can access it again? I’m not sure if we can
  19. how would you go about adding an addendum?
  20. can you list the address? Some of my schools will not allow me to send official transcripts to an email ?
  21. we were the waitlisted group- I was offered the waitlist position in late January. They don’t tell you what number you are on the list but rather “a group of candidates that are then looked over & selected once a position opens” The waitlist position stays until the beginning of the semester incase positions open. I was then told last week that I had been officially rejected. It’s basically a year long process waiting to see if you have a chance. I wish I could apply again but I don’t have the public speaking requirement, that’s a new one since last year. Good luck guys!!
  22. I thought the first deadline was for Fall 2020, September 2020, then the latest deadline, July 1st, is for Spring 2021, having January make sense?
  23. I used the ATI TEAS secrets study guide, the cover is black and yellow & you can purchase it on amazon for about $20. It’s the only thing I used to study and I got 84.7% , I should have studied more tbh. but there are 3 total practice tests in the back of the book & I found that to help a lot.
