  1. Thanks for that info. Good luck!
  2. Hi, Does anyone know the anticipated start date for this residency?
  3. Hi, I agree. For NYU Residency you must have your RN license before applying. My recommendation would be to take NCLEX as soon as you can because the BON is unbelievably slow when it comes to issuing licenses ?
  4. Hi, Any nurses who did enter the 2021 HSS residency program enjoy their experience? I just applied to this years cohort. Wanted to know the process. From comments above, it seems like it took some time for things to progress.
  5. Hi, I have a question regarding how to file taxes for the nurse corps scholarship when you attend nursing school outside of your permanent residence. Since we are considered "employers" according to the IRS would I need to pay taxes as a "nonresident" in the state that I attend school? If anyone has the same situation any help would be so appreciated. Thanks!
  6. I’m calling out to you Jamie King!! Sign my contract...please.. I’m using telepathic mind control ?
  7. I think they needed to clarify whether I was still enrolled... It was something on my part that I had messed up. I guess I was so excited to hear back because it’s been so silent and my application had been marked “under review” for so long and then it finally switched to “under final review” I was a little happy.
  8. I got an email from HRSA today asking for updated information. did anybody else get this email? Also it’s switched back to finalist; it was under review for awhile but now it says finalists.
  9. Sorry I have no idea...I’ve been waiting and waiting
  10. Sorry I have no idea...I’ve been waiting and waiting
  11. This morning it said “in final review” which has been posted since I signed my contract then later today it changed to “under review”....I’m not sure what that means
  12. Same thing happened with my school. HRSA contacted my school needing enrollment information. My school said I had it, they just needed to send paper work to HRSA. I just have to wait ;/ fingers crossed ?
  13. Also someone might decide to decline the offer for whatever reason
  14. Where does it say that on there on the application page?
  15. I appreciate your advise...I think the scholarship has lots of benefits to it, I’m just worried about having to pay money to the IRS at the end of year particularly since I’m not working ;/
  16. Thank you for that information...So in order to get the most out of the scholarship you have to go to a really cheap school... If your school is around $75,000 a year you have to pay so much in taxes...would it be more beneficial to take out a loan?
  17. Does anyone know how much of the stipend we receive after taxes? It states in the guidelines that we are given $1419 before taxes
  18. I wonder if Credco is used to see if you’ve defaulted on any loans or have a current service obligation
  19. Have you submitted required documents—enrollment verification form or direct deposit
  20. That’s a good question... if they’re asking for direct deposit and filling out a W-4 forms then you pretty much have it, right?
  21. Does anyone know why they do a credit check with Credco... Is that done before or after they tell you that you’re a finalist
  22. Congratulations Everyone!! For those who got the scholarship, what kind of information do they want after you accept the award.
  23. Thanks for that info!
